Solid gameplay. Banger soundtrack. Challenging even when you have the best equipment. Top-notch humor. 100% anti-DEI anti-ESG. And banned in Germany. Can you ask for more?

Imagine banning a game from an entire country because you don't agree with it's 100% legal politics that go against the WEF(Un-elected self appointed rulers of the world) .. There is a word for that...

I lost my social credits within the first minute. 10/10 Honestly though, fun game, nice soundtrack, nice commentary and valid criticisms on how absurd things are getting around the world. This game was banned in germany for daring to comment on the state of the world and the horrible direction we are heading in. Imagine banning a game for wrongthink. Ironic really, they are doing exactly what the game suggests will happen if we carry on down this road. Just tells me they were too accurate for the liking of the powers that be. I wonder if the thought crime of liking this game will cause my bank accounts to be frozen or my social credits to be taken away. Glory to the current thing.

A fun game that mocks the more ridiculous elements of modern western society. There were a few bugs, but I ate them.

This game got (in)famous for its politics, and got banned in Germany, so I will review its politics as well as the gameplay. First, let me start by saying that this is a serious game, and not a short pure meme game like the Alex Jones game. The game is set in a dystopian transhumanist and extremely woke future where the globalist technocratic elite control everyone with brain implants and constantly bombard them with propaganda. You play as a European Christian rebel fighting the regime. The gameplay is a pretty simple roguelike 2D run and gun sidescroller, but it is well-implemented and quite fun. You kill enemies, earn negative social credit score and coins, and buy upgrades. With the coins, you can buy various single-playthrough upgrades such as different guns, items, health, armor etc. and the credit score is usually used to buy permanent upgrades for your character, which makes the roguelike aspect of the game. Although this is not one of my favorite genres, I thought the game was quite well-designed with the right amount of grind and difficulty. The roguelike aspect keeps you interested without the grind becoming boring. When it comes to the story and politics, I don't think it was as offensive as you would think from a game that got banned in Germany. The game raises some pretty valid criticisms and concerns regarding the current state of woke western culture and what kind of dystopia it could lead to, and arguably already is. The game is refreshingly bold in its political stance and is unapologetically pro-European, pro-Christian, anti-globalism and anti-transhumanism. Despite being a non-European transhumanist atheist myself, I do agree with the potential dangers of transhumanism illustrated by the game, especially in the woke and increasingly totalitarian climate we find ourselves in today, and the game getting banned in Germany kind of proves their point. The game provides a much-needed courageous and different political and cultural take in a gaming industry dominated by boring cookie-cutter woke consumerist garbage that is too afraid to offend anyone and hence ends up offending everyone with a brain. TLDR: Pretty decent roguelike 2D run and gun with a refreshing political take and funny cultural and political references. Overall score: 7/10.
