I seldom find such a fun game to play local co op. Storyline is fun and exciting. The evolution trees are not too complicated but enough to feel like you're growing throughout. Combat is fun. Surprised at how well it works with the port. I miss games like this. Oldie but goodie. -I wanted to update my review as something has happened with the game on Steam. It no longer runs and cannot launch on one of my computers. Something has happened and I have not been able to figure it out. Its a good game, but I don't know why it works on some and not others.-

This is a simple, straight-forward action game. Each level consists of slaughtering a bunch of people while exploring around for hidden chests and templar tablets. Some levels focus more on puzzle solving, which usually involves an over-abundance of traps, which are really annoying. There are a lot of talking scenes that kill the pacing of the game. Particularly early on you kill a group of people, scene, walk a few feet, scene, repeat, repeat. It's pretty annoying, especially since the talking is mostly unnecessary. The combat is simple, and has little variance, but its fun for the most part. Being able to switch between two characters helps change it up. Upgrading your character yields meaningful and effective results that make combat quicker and easier, thus much more satisfying, as you feel like you actually get stronger throughout the game. The characters all have unique finishing moves, but they do that regular pace, then slow motion for a few seconds, then speed up to normal again thing. It would be cooler if they took the slow motion parts out. Though that was probably popular whenever this game was made, so can't really fault them for that. A lot of the "boss" fights are tedious and boring, since you can only get 2 hits in before having to block 3 of theirs. Overall, it's not the best game in the world, and has a few flaws for sure, but I had fun playing it.

I would really recommend the game. Great immersive story given with dignity to European history it really deserves. The gameplay is really great and includes both combat and puzzles. Still good graphic (keep in mind the year the game was released). To add some ctiticism, I would say there are minor correction to the story, but they are really minor.

I Love this game! The game is cool, the heroes are well made, the story is good. You have combat system with combos and different strikes, different outfits and weapons, different heroes have their own abilities and skills, you have puzzles, exploring is rewarded, you have noble knights, stealth, combat, beautiful noble lady which is very good with daggers and Templars! I like the sound and graphics. And the lady, and the Templars!

As a fan of the Templars and knightly orders, I can only recommend. The game is technically well done, has a good plot and you will also learn something from myths and truths. 10/10
