Its a very specific game to fill a very specific niche, but it fills it very well

If you want a game that is both very chill and capable of filling you with existential dread for your species, this one's perfect.

The theme of the game is very appealing and unique. This looks like a promising 'sandbox' to craft interesting stories from - BUT - unfortunately it has been on a VERY SLOW development for years (which is crazy considering this game is solely displaying texts and artworks along a very simplistic gameplay) and is a bit overpriced for what it actually is: an interactive story. I started playing in 2022 and was expecting a lot more updates along the way since the game looked in its early stages of development (it still does). It is fun but lacks variety, there is not enough to feel like you're shaping consistent stories since soon you'll come across repetitions and inconsistencies, and it is not possible to custom your games. Gamewise, you have to manage 'points' (called synthesis) to pick between different options or influence civilisations in a certain way but it is not the most exciting gameplay, coming from the 'popping bubbles' kind. Other ingame stuff still looks quirky: for instance, every colonization ship a civilization launches won't come with enough resources to last the whole journey without intervention. There are also missing words or misspellings here and there. I still recommend it but I haven't grown very confident with the game's development and I wouldn't expect it to become much more than what it is now after 4 years, something I'm heavily disappointed in.

Honestly a really fun game, highly recommend. However, the devs seem to work very slowly with no new content for years.

I loved this game ever since I first saw videos about it. The artstyle is gorgeous, the music is divine, the premise of a god-game is executed really well, the mechanics are simple to understand, but reward good planning... and, most importantly, the alien designs are very varied and cute. You can even get cats as a civilization! If you are unsure about getting the game, the Demo offers a good look into what the game is like. The only downside is that the developers are very busy with real-life stuff at the moment, so updates are scarce. Still, they ARE still working on it, and that`s all that matters.
