First off, this game was made by one person. That alone impressed me a lot. It really gives off a Portal vibe. The main mechanic is different, but everything else—the atmosphere, the setting—feels closer to Portal than other games usually compared to it, like Q.U.B.E. or The Talos Principle. But that’s not a bad thing. The game still manages to carve out its own identity. The story had some issues for me, mostly because I struggled with suspension of disbelief early on. The idea of generating energy by solving puzzles doesn’t make a lot of sense logically , and little things bugged me—like the time-rewind gun having a 39-second limit (I think?), yet still restoring walls that collapsed months ago. It feels like the game’s logic assumes atoms have "memory" only when moving, which… okay, maybe I’m overthinking it . Still, if you ignore those quirks, the lore is pretty solid. The terminal messages grew on me over time and pulled me into the world. The puzzles aren’t super hard, but they’re satisfying to solve. I just wish there were advanced challenge chambers separate from the main campaign, like Portal’s extra levels for players craving complexity. Though I know the game has a level editor, so there’s probably good fan-made content—I just haven’t tried it yet. There are some rough spots. Enemy bots sometimes shoot through walls (super annoying) , and I missed being able to use the rewind tool on more objects outside of puzzles. The tool feels underused in everyday exploration. Philosophically, though, I loved it. The game made me think about living a life where you reboot yourself over and over, almost like immortality but with your memories wiped each time. I’d definitely want to work there . One last thing: The game needs a tracker showing which terminal messages you’ve already read and which levels still have unread ones. The "Data Research" achievement was the only real headache I had. A simple checklist would’ve saved some frustration.

Basically bargain rate Portal. Different mechanics, but basically just not quite as good as Portal in every respect. That said, being "not quite as good" as one of the greatest games ever made still makes you a pretty good game.

I played the whole game in one night and I can say it is extremely enjoyable.. slightly infuriating but that comes with the puzzle game territory. Also the story and characters were so lovable. It might just be because I'm pregnant but I started bawling at the end, definitely recommend even at full price. Edit: I should add I am a Portal fanatic and replay both 1 and 2 at least once a year.

If Portal, Braid and The Stanley Parable had a threesome love child abomination, The Entropy Centre would be the trigene abomination. Abomination aside, This game is quite fun and well written. Definitely worth a pick up even if you're new to puzzle games.

it manages to scratch the itch for Portal pretty well while having its own identity.
