This is by far the most creative and fun Elder Scrolls game in the Series, it has the best DLC in the series and is the goofiest experience in a sandbox RPG you will ever get, plus this game sometimes is like 4 bucks on sale and that is crazy cause you can easily spend 100s of hours in Cyrodiil getting lost in its vast lore, I recommend heavily. :)

Truly the greatest Elder Scrolls game. Not as in depth as Morrowind but more-so than Skyrim. But the advantage it does have over morrowind is that if you want to hit something it will hit - no dice rolls Oblivion is fun, colourful, quirky - and like every elder scrolls game - has an appropriate amount of in world racism

Having not played this years ago because I thought Skyrim was better was a mistake. Oblivion has such a certain type of charm Skyrim just doesnt have and even going to play Morrowind made me feel like Skyrim is missing a certain level of roleplaying that both Morrowind, and Oblivion have. In Skyrim, your path is already set as the dragonborn. Yes you can completely ignore the main story but when I play. the looming responsibility is still over my head. In Oblivion, I took my time with every sidequest, doing most of the Dark Brotherhoods quests. I really found myself in a state of enjoyment I havent really felt in an RPG since New Vegas. Even the main story is much more enjoyable than I remember. I dont know if its because after Starfield I wanted more of that older Bethesda writing, but something about this games story feels so comfy and familiar to me. Speaking of Starfield, how is it that this game from 2006 made me feel more immersed in its universe than a game from 2023? Bethesda, please dont fudge up Elderscrolls 6. Please abandon the paid mod as DLC bs. Go back to your roots of fantasy and passion. Oblivion is oozing with it.

The GOATed Elder Scrolls game. This game has not aged well visually but it is a classic nonetheless. This game is better than Skyrim by a longshot. You don't even need mods to make this game interesting even after playing it 100 times. By azura by azura by azura
