This game is an amazing experience. Action platforming, parry heavy soulslike combat, fun and rewarding battle mechanics, huge skill tree... The list goes on. I was obsessed with this game during Early Access and now I've fallen back in love all over again. Well crafted and just SO much fun to play!

Review After 100% Achievements This is a super cool game that really hooked me with its combat! This title is still in early access, but gameplay feels smooth and I ran into no performance issues even while doing my second playthrough on my Steam Deck. The trait upgrading system is unique and worked really well. Level up using souls’ currency and receive orbs that you can place into traits that interest you. Cannot wait to see how it is expanded on in future updates and see what content is added to the game in the future. As you get further in your exploration, you unlock new traversal abilities that you can use to maneuver through the map. Platforming feels rewarding once you master it, so you can zip through areas to backtrack or loop around the map. As of right now, there is not a “full” map, rather the game splits the areas up into three separate maps for the three areas in the game. The only problem I ran into was that there is not a fast travel option to go back to previous areas, which in turn made me do another playthrough to obtain the cleanup achievements. My first playthrough where I took my time was around 5.5 hours of gameplay. My second was around 2.5 hours and that is with me flying around the map only looking for the map fragments called “haetae”. The parry mechanic is cool, and the bosses were not hard once you learn their patterns. Last boss gave me the most trouble! Super fun game works amazingly on the steam deck, not sure why low settings on the deck look nicer than high, high settings about 40ish fps low settings about 70-80 fps. You can also make the game look sharper by lowering the in game resolution and using FSR through the steam deck if your playing on steam deck.

Loving this game so far. Beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay, available in the 21:9 aspect ratio. The combat is creative as you can unlock and choose different ways to take down enemies. Personally, I like the narrative and ambiance. The first boss was a challenge for me, and I enjoyed it. Still haven't finished the game. The negative feedback about the areas feeling 'sparse' couldn't be further from the truth in my opinion. I suppose if you want an action packed metroidvania with enemies attacking you at all times than this is not the game for you. This is a light souls-like experience that knows how to let the player breathe, have fun, and enjoy it's environments.

I think this is a great metroidvania. For some reason I had such a hard time on the first real boss. I must have died to him 50 times. Just like Soulsborn games though, you feel yourself getting better with every attempt. The rush of finally taking down a very difficult encounter is intoxicating. I screamed EAT A DICK BITCH! when I finally beat him and my wife said I need help. Would recommend for that alone.
