The Crackpet Show is a funny, difficult and twin stick shooter game developed by Vixa Games and published by Ravenage Games and Ripples Asia Venture.

You lose if the RNG at the start of each round for perk picking is bad. game really forces you to not get hit once. Only got the game because i remember seeing happy tree friends as a kid and it made me laugh, so this review is more of a biased one keep that in mind.

The mix of cute characters and extreme violence in The Crackpet Show creates an experience that’s hard to forget, I love the Happy Tree Friends vibe. The roguelike mechanics keep things exciting, with different weapons and power-ups making each playthrough feel fresh. The game runs smoothly on the Steam Deck, but the random upgrades can sometimes feel unfair, especially if you end up with weaker ones during a good run. The art style and soundtrack fit the gameplay perfectly. There's a co-op ability I haven't explored yet, but I imagine it adds an extra layer of fun to the game, you should definitely try it with friends. I highly recommend purchasing this title it's incredibly enjoyable!

The Crackpet Show is a rogue-like, rpg (similar to Binding of Isaac), and stands out with the immense gore. Wacky characters (even more with the Happy Tree Friends pack), and even crazier enemies to face. Like other titles of the genre, your goal is surviving the run through a series of levels (which you are able to choose different paths, so each run is unique), and have randomly generated elements. As you complete more episodes, enemies gain strength, more random factors occur, and the variety of hazards change. It is simple, addictive fun. Choosing the unique characters to play as, replaying levels to unlock more upgrades, or discovering something new is where the game shines. The audio is fine, it functions with a nice little soundtrack. The visuals, and UI are clear enough with no issues. No bugs or crashes when playing. Depending on your likeness for this style of game, you could play for 10 hours or 100, discovering everything. It is priced pretty reasonable, and it is a definite recommend for Binding of Isaac fans. Otherwise, it is worth playing for a little bit before the 2 hour mark.

Genre - Roguelike Gunner. + Happy Tree Friends! do, de, do, de, do, de, do. + Progression is there and it's fun to play. + Enemies and power ups are varied. - Shame there isn't an online mode. - Voices are minimal and music is awful. +/- I haven't tried local co-op yet, but it's an option that looks fun if I had friends.
