The Coma: Recut introduces us to the main character named Yongho, an ordinary Korean schoolboy who was preparing for exams. Having slept through the alarm in the morning, he rushed to school and saw a crowd around an ambulance - one of the students who was trying to commit suicide was loaded into it. Here we are introduced to two more characters who will play important roles in further events - the fat man Shoho and the local unapproachable beauty Yasol. The incident with the ambulance was resolved quite quickly, the schoolchildren were left with their thoughts about exams and speculation about an unsuccessful suicide. Youngho was also worried about these questions, but he was even more puzzled by his potential failure of the exams. As if that weren't enough, Teacher Song met him in the hallway. A striking woman invited our hero to meet after school and talk about his progress. The further and unexpected development of events did not take long to occur: having gone to class, Yongho sat down at his desk and passed out almost instantly. The boy woke up when it was dark all around, and all that was left of his classmates was their things on the hooks of their desks and chairs. β€œWhat the hell is going on here? Is it already night? Why didn’t anyone wake me up?!” β€” questions swirled in the hero’s head. And where there are questions, there must be answers. The gameplay itself involves walking around a gloomy school, collecting loot, escaping from enemies or hiding. The style of the game is strictly consistent in the artistic style of a comic book, the developers managed to implement a gloomy and terrifying setting and an uncomfortable environment. The only thing I didn’t really like was the presence many endings that are practically no different from each other.

Nice horror game set in a Korean school with a tense atmosphere. The True Ending is probably bugged. Basically, you need to stop the MC at a pixel-perfect position before the double doors to open them. I recommend not wasting your time and watch the True Ending on YouTube.

+ beautiful art and good graphics + story is good, showing it as a comic works nicely + horror atmosphere is spot-on + exploration is good, finding some items of use, reading notes, looking for keys, etc. - hide&seek gameplay is a hit-and-miss, feels more like a lottery which becomes most annoying at the end where savepoints are scarce and you die randomly. sometimes you either have to sit in a closet for 5 or 10 minutes until enemy goes away or risk going out and dying a violent death if you miss the dodge. overall, this part of the game is rather frustrating than fun. - the regular ending is terrible. after suffering all these random deaths and numerous reloads, I can't believe that I am served such a punishing closure - there is a bug making obtaining the "true" (good) ending even harder (door to secret won't open normally) - no achievements in PC version (but they still are on consoles), why? Overall, I have mixed feelings about it, and I can't say this was one of the more fun games which I played, but it does not feel right to give it a negative review, since the effort and quality is there, and it's a cool concept and pretty unique game.

This is a 2D hide-and-seek, scavenger hunt, survival horror game. I didn't find it scary and the high school location you're stuck in gets a little stale after a while but I found the presentation of the game very charming and would recommend the game. Since there is some trading cards, it feels great too and it puts my rating a little higher.
