The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters is much more entertaining than the original The Coma, though that game is a good one too. The quality of the story, lore, characters, music, and atmosphere is exactly the same, but the drawing, animation, and direction are significantly improved, which affects player perception a lot. The locations became a lot bigger, more diverse, and much more interesting to explore; at the same time, they are easy to navigate, which tells about good level design. Stealth from monsters in the first game was awful; it wasn't able to scare or thrill, only to annoy. Those creatures were just obstacles making the process of exploring locations inconvenient. The situation is much better in the sequel: the sounds created by prowling monsters are more loudly audible, it is easier to spot them; the new gameplay mechanics, such as the usage of a pepper spray to make a creature let you go for a moment, are a nice addition to the arsenal (kind of survival horror). Crafting of unique items might be perceived as a superfluous thing, but it makes sense, since it adds new secondary goals for exploring the dangerous darkness of this crooked version of reality, besides notes and consumable loot.

One thing I love about the Coma franchise is that it does atmosphere really well. While I do have my frustrations with the first game, Coma 2 managed to present a well paced game that actually rewarded exploration. As many other reviews have pointed it out this game improved a lot on many aspects of the previous games while adding more to the atmosphere with well voiced cut scenes and well made animations. Great Job to the devs! <3

The art style of this game is absolutely beautiful. The story is average, and the gameplay is similar to the first game—still repetitive and just as boring as before. Many things are practically the same as the original. I recommend buying it on sale. Overall, it’s an okay game, but honestly, I bought it purely for the art style.

It's well-designed, fun, good-looking, interesting, and an all-around great game. This is a great sequel to an already good game, expanding the story and mechanics. I can't recommend it enough.
