Personally, it's got some really cool concepts. I love the meshing of both SCP & Backrooms being inspirations for this game. HOWEVER, I have some problems that I hope will be covered once the game has an official full release: - Optimization. I have an RTX 4070 w/ a 165 Hz monitor and 32 GB of RAM. I should not be struggling to play this game on 90 FPS on medium graphics or with Depth of Field eating up my frames - The use of AI in the Chewtopia VHS & artwork in the Arcade. Please hire an actual team of artists for this. It adds to the creep factor, sure, but I'm not a big fan of this being in the game just because it's an early access game and I see HUGE potential for it being fun to try out - Workshop. Custom modes with unique levels made by players in the community would open up so many opportunities for this game to be replayable. Especially with adding unique creatures that players could make for the game itself in the workshop. Other than that, 7/10 overall for the game, but please do optimize this soon so it can run easier, especially for lower-end PCs.

I only refunded it because the optimisation is very bad, if you have an insane PC that does not care about optimisation then buy this game, but if you have an average PC then wait for the Dev to optimise it properly because this game has no right to have such a low framerate with some areas of the game looking worse than a Roblox game.

This game is on track to be one of the most customizable horror games ever made. User "Bonfire" has a negative review posted here on Steam that I believe accurately outlines many of the obstacles this game faces amidst its flaws. In short, some levels are considerably less effective than others and some entities are less creatively designed than others. All valid critiques and a few weeks ago, I would have agreed emphatically. However, the more recently added custom mode is a game-changer. It not only unlocks the player's ability to craft their own uniquely horrific scenarios but unlocks the true potential a game like this could have if they continue down the path they're on. Customizable, procedureally-generated liminal spaces. Some entities are too loud and dumb and take away from the horror rather than enhance it. The beauty of customization is that I can simply turn off those entities and create my perfect game using the assets the devs have provided. My recommended setup for max horror is: Darkrooms (ventless) with the cursed doll, smiley, the whispering wyrm, and an army of dolls. This setup emphasizes all the best parts of this game: the fear, the difficulty, the uncertainty, the quiet hiss from a few rooms away, the pitter patter of a dozen doll feet B-lining for you through the dark school hallways. All of these entities have unique rules and complicate the way at which you have to survive the game. The most recent level demonstrated that the devs have a great grasp on the uncanny valley and know the true value in level-design customization to a community. If they continue to release new liminal spaces and creature designs for the entity horror sandbox, i'd be a very happy customer. I recommend this game with the sole condition of finishing the 5 relatively-short levels of required content to unlock the custom sandbox mode and play around. That's where the real game starts and i hope the devs consider expanding those customization features at some point later in the development cycle.

Looking for a game that’s pure relaxation? This is it. Absolutely no nerve-wracking moments here, and those rumors about monsters hearing you through your mic? Total nonsense. Scream as often you want. The ambiance is all about peace. The sudden enemy appearances and intense music are just gentle reminders of life’s unpredictability, not heart-stoppers. And those jump scares? Think of them as playful surprises, not panic-inducers. So, if you want a game that’s all about chilling, where the monsters are just there for friendly company and not because they heard you scream, this is your ultimate stress-free experience. Enjoy the game.

The Classrooms is definitely one of the scariest backrooms-esque games so far. Fun puzzles that don't drag on too long, interesting entities with a unique death animation for each one, and cool tools and features. The Whispering Wyrm genuinely made me sh** my pants. Very excited for the next updates. 9/10 because idk what the eight ball does.
