I feel like before people buy this, they should know the EA label REALLY means EA. This game is very, very ambitious and only has a small team working on it. What is here is a fantastic foundation with gameplay mechanics that show the devs really know how to make fun, satisfying, and engaging mechanics. You really can just do whatever the hell you want, to an extent. Obviously, the game is being worked on and nowhere near full release. The cities, while really well designed at the moment, feel disjointed and unfinished. Enemy variety is lacking, encounters in the overworld map get stale pretty fast, and the performance is a little rough. HOWEVER, there's a SHITE ton of build variety, skills, weapons, armor etc. Reminds me a bit of Terraria mixed with World of Warcraft. The skills feel great to use and the combat in general makes the repetitive encounters fun and interesting just about every time. I'm having a lot of fun going around as a Necromancer, raising giant armies of skeletons and casting dark magic and whatnot. Super fun. Everything has a level tied to it, from running around to crafting gear or cooking food, there's a lot of stuff to do and grind. Think Runescape, where you can level specific hobbies but The Bloodline uses engaging minigames for the leveling processes. My one suggestion for the devs is one seen a lot in this game's reviews, in that they should put most of their focus on polishing the stuff they already have rather than constantly adding new stuff that also needs more polish. It's like building up a house with old wood and instead of making the old wood sturdier, you just keep adding more old wood. Eventually, the end result won't be too pretty. Just take the time to polish out the older stuff and get it finished! TL;DR, The game is very unfinished but what's here is worth playing and it's especially worth supporting the devs, as they're clearly passionate about making a fun, vast and sprawling game with great depth. 7/10 from me. If you've ever had the experience of being in a house that has a sheet of cookies baking in the oven and the house is full of the delicious smell and you're anticipating just how good those cookies are gonna taste, this is the game equivalent of that. This game is clearly an alpha build, but the bones of it were good enough to hold my attention for 10 hours, and the only reason I didn't sink more in is because I don't want to spoil my appetite for the finished product.

Despite the retro graphics this is actually a very cool and fun to play game. I'm about 10 hours in so I'll just give my first impressions: 1. Rather large open world. 2. Reminds me most of Skyrim or Oblivion, being a classless open world solo RPG. 3. It has plenty of quests and so far a storyline. 4. The skills and magic are unique and powerful, a joy to use, each one feels meaningful to pick up. Best skill ever is of course: 2hander haymaker that sends mobs literally FLYING. It's hilarious. 5. Crafting system seems mature and it is already quite useful. Protip: Engineering. 6. Probably most importantly, it is **fun to play** and the combat feels amazing. Exploration and movement is smooth and nimble. Lots of neat movement skills including tall jumps, wall running, and somewhere (you didn't hear this from me) possibly a way to fly. Or more than one, maybe. Combat rewards player skill and thoughtful combinations of equipment, character skills and spells. Overall: A+ For the developer, nice work, and one piece of (hopefully constructive) feedback: The Portal Coin item I think would benefit from one or two changes. 1) Make it re-usable. 2) Make it so that it can only transport you to cities that the player has already visited / unlocked. I don't think a cooldown is necessary being that it's a solo game, but making it re-usable without necessarily able to skip whole parts of the map "for free and infinitely" would make sense. Just my 2p. Cheers,

The Bloodline has some strong elements and is certainly worth the money and time you’ll invest to grind and level up, whether you aim to become the most powerful mage or a dual-wielding maniac. However, the game currently suffers from a lack of consistent content stability. Although it receives regular updates, these updates often disrupt the experience by adding or removing entire areas and content. This frequent shifting can lead to missed loot, NPC missions, or special events, as the game's landscape changes too rapidly. Additionally, the game’s unique date and time system can be frustrating. The need to be in specific locations or complete quests before characters die on certain days adds pressure. With the dates being random, low-level players who have just started might find themselves facing enemies well beyond their abilities and stats, which can be quite challenging. I understand that the game is in early development, and issues like bugs and clipping through the map are expected. However, even on a high-end PC, which I invested a significant amount in, setting the game to high settings results in severe, game-breaking lag, with frame rates dropping to between 3 and 15 FPS. The game has a promising concept and could be enjoyable for fans of magic and exploration or those who like games like Valheim. However, I recommend waiting until the game reaches a more stable phase. Constant updates are good, but they may not be ideal for an early access game. It would be better if the developers focused on finalizing the core aspects before releasing major updates. While I appreciate their responsiveness to player feedback, the frequent micro-updates and significant changes to land and quests make the experience less enjoyable. The recent addition of a new area is intriguing but only adds to the uncertainty of what might be removed or altered. The developers should concentrate on refining the game's foundation and hold off on updates until they have a clearer vision of its direction. As it stands, the constant changes make it difficult to fully enjoy the game. Overall, it’s a good game with a great future, but I won’t be putting in any more hours until the creators provide a concrete update and clearer vision for the game. I enjoy the game but believe the developers need to have more patience and relax on the updates. Give it a try if your curios but Honestly I would wait until the game is stable.

IF YOU LIKE MOVEMENT PLAY THIS GAME. okay i know most people here aren't here for movement tech in a sandbox medieval rpg but oh my god I havent had this much fun just moving around in a game in a very long time. You got a grappling hook, a lot of combat abilities propel you in a direction, a lot of momentum going on. combine that with the skills and oh my god combat is so fun. The enemy ai is kind of shit but that's normal and they at least try, but for instance you could be in a forest swinging from tree to tree with your grapple and then you could AOT style kill a highwayman and you'll feel like a fucking badass. All this game needs in my opinion is the dev really needs to work on the stuff already existing in the game instead of pushing for new content. New content is cool and all but a lot of the base mechanics just feel rushed, unfinished, or are just not done yet. Which is to be expected, this game is in early access, but still. TLDR ; ADD CO-OP and movement is fun :) 6.5-7/10 gaming experience, could very easily become a 9-10/10
