This is a short puzzle game with about 2 to 3 hours of playtime. The puzzles were fine, they weren't super easy but also not particularly difficult. The story was somewhat interesting, but there wasn't a lot of it (not surprising given how short the game is). In parts it was too vague to really figure out what the game was trying to say, and the end made me think that there should have been a chapter or two more to give some more information on the characters and their stories. One more issue I had with the game were the achievements, which artificially push up playtime (one of the achievements is to play the game for 5 hours), which does bother me a bit. Nonetheless I did enjoy what was there, and since I bought the game on sale I do believe it was worth the price.

"The Almost Gone" is a award-winning narrative puzzle game about death, loss, and mental health in which you experience the intricate dioramas and connections of your life, and the ripples we all make, in this . The Gamemechanics are very easy. I liked the Artstyle and the music of the game. The whole game took me around 5.0 hours to finish with all achievements. (for one of them you have to idle around a bit) I bought the game for 1,99€ on Sale, i dont know if i liked it so much to buy t for the full prize. The game is good tho, so try it out!

The Almost Gone is a short, artful puzzle game that covers some dark themes, including mental illness, generational trauma, and death. It also does not have a happy ending (at least in my interpretation). So consider that a content warning. The Gameplay: You navigate a series of isometric dioramas, solving puzzles as you explore the protagonist's mental state and family history. The puzzles were not too difficult, but you still need to pay attention, as navigating the dioramas can be disorientating. The achievements are a bit of a negative mark, as a number of them are literal wastes of time: there's no reason to spend 30 minutes in the starting room, for example. I finished the game in 4 hours without rushing or using a walkthrough. The Story: I've noticed that the story is getting mixed reviews from other users, particularly the ending, which many found abrupt and unsatisfying. I didn't feel that way. That's because (spoiler and dark): It was pretty clear to me that the game is the final experiences of the dying protagonist, presumably by suicide. The ending does happen abruptly and without any followup, but, as I saw it, the game was clearly leading towards that conclusion. Overall I'd give it maybe a 6-7 out of 10. The gameplay is solid, but could be smoother, the art is pretty but not outstanding, and the intriguing themes never really coalesce beyond vague (though haunting) impressions.
