Gifted Word: Mercenary. Advisory skills: Remarkable! To be candid, it was much simpler to answer all of the questions than I would have expected; they were pretty fun, especially at the end credits where it shows your impact on the kingdom. Every percentage it showed was green and of high numbers, so even I was surprised; a magical bard, an artifact shop, and a particularly skilled group of mercenaries on my side were great to read, which I would like to see more of those events. Gives the world more of an identity rather than just being cooped up in royal chambers with flavor text. And to think I must admit that the rather unfit King Haralt was clever enough to see the benefits in recruiting Magnus, which has paid off immensely in the end in my case, makes me think that Haralt does not need to be necessarily incompetent forever. Just gullible enough for Magnus's own needs and persuasions to at least benefit himself in the end, even if everything somehow goes downhill for King Haralt, which is highly unlikely, in my opine. So, should the sardonic and awfully charming Magnus accept the intruders' offer? Fuck no; what the hell were they thinking? You are telling me that Magnus, the pyromaniacal magician turned temporary advisor, who has single-handedly made a fool's kingdom turn 180 in terms of power, wealth, and health that rivals that of his brother's in just one year, should just "betray" King Haralt over some overpowered staff that he definitely does not need right now while he can just imprison the intruders right there, get more information out of the overly confident, loudmouthed one if possible until Magnus is satisfied, and eventually conquer the arguably more incompetent, rival kingdom in time, acquiring the staff naturally for himself? This is just amusement and entertainment for Magnus at this point, although if I were Magnus, I would give a stern scolding to King Haralt and the guards for failing to protect Magnus's chamber, if there were guards to begin with. Still, defenses need improvement, evidently. But if Magnus wanted more excitement in his life, perhaps he would amuse the offer by feigning acceptance and get to see the other side, gaining an ever broader perspective than ever before for himself and us as well, and plan accordingly for his own benefit long-term. However, he would be taking a risk for something that is less than guaranteed, shady at best, and might upset King Haralt to make hostile actions against him because of his obliviousness, so I do not see much of a point in accepting the botched offer.

It was certainly a royal pain to figure out how to leave a comment with you. You might wanna work on that. My Keyword was Barbarian. (And it should be mentioned I was more benevolent than I usually am in this game --if only because I believe in practicality, and as fun as cruelty can be, it is not always practical.) I LOVE Magnus! If I had a soulmate, it would be him. As for the ending, the choice is impossible to make without information of this new potential king. What kind of person is he? Is he handsome? Cunning? Or a foolish do-gooder? I am tempted to reject the offer out of hand because the soldiers tried to threaten me. But if I had a choice, I would simply pretend to agree --and check out their leader before making a decision. If he failed to impress me, it would be a perfect situation for me to spy. The king whom I first met was clever enough to try and recruit me --and ask somewhat politely, while recognising my power. For that, he gained some respect. I do not hold it against him that he captured me after destroying so much of his kingdom. Anyone would have. And it must have taken quite some skills or trickery to manage. His questions --while abhorrently long-dragged wall-of-text which I suspect the majority of players would find boring when they came in such a bulk with no story to split them up-- was mostly quite clever. (I quite enjoyed them, and seeing the result of my answers, but I also enjoy answering Quora questions in bulk for fun. I HIGHLY recommend you spread them out and inject some story parts between them, least you bore your less advisory-loving audience.) I applaud his reluctance to trust me. Only a fool would. If only I could convince him to shave off his beard, he might even look good. With some luck. (I always was a sucker for a pretty face. Although his personality will matter more in the end.) I'd love to see a romance option. (And an alternate route to become friends.) It would help both loyalty to him, and the choice of later betrayal by making him trust his new lover. And some people quite enjoy that in any game they play. (Me being one of them.) In the future of this story I'd love to see you give people a chance to choose paths, rather than choose it for them. It doesn't necessarily require THAT much work. Simply have the setting in the other kingdom, and tweak small parts of it based on the decition to either... A) Be loyal and reject them --but your first king sends you on a spy mission in disguise. (Or after talking to your king he suggest you pretend to accept the offer and then spy on his brother.) B) Hedge your bets until you meet the new king, thus say yes to the new king's offer, get his reward, and decide after you get to know him whether to support one or the other of the kings. C) Stay loyal but say yes to the new king because you recognise how valuable the intel you can gain as a spy is. Not to mention that a truly clever advisory can appear to be helping the new king while secretly making him weaken his own kingdom and army. (Severus Snape comes to mind.) I look forward to see how this game turns out, and I hope you plan to update it in the future. It has always been my dream to be the adviser of a handsome, wicked king. ...and two out of three is not bad, provided he turns out at the very least pragmatic. Although if you CAN influence the personality of that king, that would be even better. I look forward to the update.

>Remarkable Priestess< --> Magnus should go to check out wth the "enemy" is up to. Learn more about the current King he helped and find a way to get a staff for himself. Heh heh. Game is awesome...! Makes you think a tiny bit and even made me laugh! I can see why people liked and participated in answering the question in the end for it! I also like that the personality/tactics I created will be transferred into the next game if I enter the right word! The best part... This game said I was "REMARKABLE" at tactics! That's a first!!! THANK YOU THOUGH! :D :> :)

Bard Hm, interesting. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting but was enjoyable none-the-less. Maybe that was just because it seemed super easy to me, minus the opening food and cooking bit. But once it got to spies and military tactics that was fun and cool I guess. Mostly I was interested in seeing how well I would do and managed to turn the war around 180. As for joining Faryn or staying loyal to the current king, can't even remember his name lol, solid stay loyal for now for many reasons. Firstly: You literally just turned this war around from total defeat to inevitable victory. If you change sides now you're throwing away the work and progress you worked on away for very little. The king and his closest advisors have to know this is because of you. Perhaps they mean to turn on you after your usefulness is up, that is true, but as an all powerful mage you'll think of something. But you are in a better position to leverage your status from more than joining another kingdom on the ropes, one you spent a year helping thrash. Second: The captain spoke of this staff that is important to you, he clearly knows much about this, and honestly, he is presently more under your power than the other way around. Taking him captive will likely prove a useful source of information, perhaps arrange to have spies locate and steal an artifact. You can leverage the kings indebtedness towards you to justify this persuite of personal power. And if the king refuses, then you know betrayal is inevitable and you can strike out on your own to acquire it if it's truly that powerful and life altering. Thirdly: If this man did even the barest amount of homework he would know you had not a care in the world for your dear old friend. It speaks to his lack of intelligence and capabilities that he came up with and thought to execute this stupid plan and put himself in your hands so you can't really trust his objective judgement on things. Perhaps he thinks he is recruiting you but his king plans to kill you. Not sure don't care, doesn't matter. The risk-reward just doesn't add up to be honest. Even if you can't capture him and have spies steal the artifact, his kingdom is on the ropes, you'll have it eventually. There is only one way in which you accept this mad man's offer in my opinion. If you plan to take the artifact and usurp King Faryn's crown. It might be easier to take the crown from a king on his last legs than a king that is coming out on top in his war. I still like the idea of usurping the current king, given that winning the war for him and usurping his crown means inheriting dejure lands devoid of the devastation of war, or at the very least, closer to recovered versus the other way around. All that said, was a fun, short game, I enjoyed it, look forward to a next installment and will look into your other titles.

This game was quite fun. I liked how you somewhat shape Magnus' character depending on how you answer, while still being a more morally grey character. There were some responses and dialogues that really made me laugh. I think he should stay with the king, since his work as an advisor (at least in my playthrough) really helped his kingdom and changing sides would feel like these accomplishments were in vain. He will probably figure out a way to still get the staff. My secret word was "Mercenary".
