On xbox I have 147h in this game, bought it again so I can play on deck. It's among my all time favourite games, and probably the best Tetris game to date, with great visuals and containing almost every game mode imaginable from other Tetris games, like Tetris grand master, and even a classic NES Tetris mode. If you want to play any tetris game, this is your best pick. Do get it on sale tho, full price is overkill and the sales happen often enough.

I think this is one of the best Tetris experiences you can get in the modern day. There's a lot of different modes with different gameplay types, themes, and a fairly expansive competitive online multiplayer. Not only that, but I think it's one of the best applications of optional VR in a game. My only complaint with the game is that I would advise players to please not go for all achievements. It was an absurd grind that took me nearly 100 hours on and off over the course of a year.

If this game were simply just Tetris but with cool visual effects. I would still give this game a recommendation. But it's way more than just that. This is a pretty definitive package of everything Tetris. If you're not interested in the Journey mode, there's still your standard marathon, sprint, and ultra modes you'd expect from a modern Tetris game. But they also added more than just that. It has modes specifically for just playing the game casually, like the Chill Marathon and the various "playlists" they've set up. They added some specific modes designed to help you practice and get better at specific things in the game, like getting perfect clears or combos. They even have a mode for playing the classic NES version of the game, which I love! :3 It's all of this, plus the amazing visuals and great music while playing the game, that makes me love it. The Journey mode is really fun to return to every now and again, and makes me feel pretty emotional by the end of it most of the time! :3 I love this game <3

I wish this would go on sale more often, as it's very difficult to convince people Tetris is worth $40, it is, it absolutely is, and it's honestly worth more, but still, Tetris can be a tough sell to the unaffiliated. To the unaffiliated, it is. Don't deliberate another second, pick it up. This is the best version of a perfect game, that should be enough.

Each line of blocks that disappears is another fear or insecurity that disappears with it. Once you master Tetris, you master your own emotions. That's the real Tetris Effect. 10/10
