y'know, i wasn't so sure going in. and while playing, it was fun enough, it kept me engaged, i did my playthrough and i had fun with it. i would still have given a good rating, but not an "among the best". and then i got to the ending. I won't spoil anything, but it was literally absolutely perfect. 10/10 end to a game, no notes. brought everything together in the best way. the theme of the whole thing was finally clear to me. i could not get that smile off my face. yeah, maybe it's not the best. maybe there's a few issues. maybe there's a section at one point where you can move while in a textbox and clip through walls and get lost in the infinite void, and you get nothing for it. but it just adds to the meaning of it all, the full picture. the heart is pure. and i love that. good job, dev.

Loved the game and the silliness, but I'm not a big fan of replaying the same thing several times just to get alternate paths in any game. So I guess I'll just half ass it and call it a day. Nevertheless, tERRORbane a fun experience with loads of fun(ny) little gimmicks. It's quite short, but worth buying.

This is more of a neutral review than a positive one, since I didn't really enjoy my time playing, but that's not the game's fault. It's pretty funny and entertaining, there just isn't much 'game' to be played. Battles aren't really battles, there isn't much exploration, and it's pretty straightfoward and linear.

Terrorbane is a comedy adventure game which feels like a nod to the Stanley Parable style of character-vs-narrator humor. Instead, we have a player-vs-developer dynamic in which our goal is to find all the bugs in the developer's "perfect" game to show how flawed it is. Eventually there are going to be fourth-wall breaks and NPC self-awareness similar to those Animation vs Animator video series. The game iterates through many gaming genres and even pokes fun at some stereotypical tropes like horror disclaimers, player messages, etc. There are even some quick mini-games that WarioWare does for a certain section of enemy encounters. Overall, Terrorbane really does encourage you to try to interact and think outside of the box for its puzzles. Yeah, I recommend it if you want a good laugh especially if you're well versed in games knowledge and have dabbled in programming. I can relate to the frustration.
