took 60 hours, lots of dying, and about 98 tries to beat this game in one run. You are a scientist who was boarded up after an accident in a teleportation facility. You are looking for the main teleporter so you can go home, but theres zombies, mutants and AI robots after you. You can craft items to help along the way, and fully exploring each floor will lead to secret gear. Start with powerlegs thank me later. An excellent survival horror game filled with tension and surprise. The vibes are thick and it uses sound starkly and well: it will make you panic and that'll be your death. Weapons feel powerful and they're lethal to you and the enemies both. It takes a much more realistic approach to combat than most games, with armour penetration and stuff. A shotgun does practically nothing to a robot for example, but an improvised armour piercing rocket sure does. Getting in a knife fight against weaker enemies works but it'll hurt you. If you don't have armour you'll die very easily from getting shot. Etc etc. Amazing inventory and crafting system that does a lot of complex things with very simple controls. There's a huge variety of guns and explosives and tools to make. Never seen it done better than this. The game is not that random, there's always the same enemies and items in each level except they're distributed differently each time. The game is learnable and fair most of the time, though you can get unlucky now and then. Overall, a classic. By the way if you're wondering why I have such an absurdly long playtime, it's because the game is VERY easy to mod! I keep changing it and replaying,

2024 and this is still peerless among its kind (unfortunately). This is a masterclass and showcase on the potential weight and impact of game design. It is barely a few silly pixels on your screen, and it will terrify, asphyxiate, intrigue and charm you. Great atmosphere, capsule-sized plot that is surprisingly captivating and compelling, with sound design made with a care and attention that you wouldn't expect looking at the game from a glance. Every aspect and part of this game comes together beautifully, with nothing left unaccounted for. The game masterfully gives you reason to feel great about every advantage you manage to claw your way into. If you like survival horror and roguelikes, do not let this hidden gem pass you by.

Amazing so far. Really feels kind of like 2D resident evil, with its own unique charm. I really like the inventory and crafting systems. I have only beaten the first level so far, but I am exited to experience what more this game has to offer.
