pretty good and for the price diffidently worth it. My biggest problem is that you cant automate the most boring tasks ie wood chopping, fetching water cleaning the toilet, but you can automate all the fun things, ie cooking, serving customers Edit: you can now automate cleaning the toilet, hopefully they add the ability to automate the wood chopping and the fetching of water

Found this game from Lets Game It Out and thought it was just a normal simulator like most of them seem to be. I was pleasantly wrong, there are so many little things in the game that make it more fun and this game isn't even that old. I do not want to spoil anything but I just got the letter about someone stealing my stuff, such a cool extra thing that you wouldn't find in other simulator games. I haven't stopped playing since purchase because there is always more to do and yet it doesn't seem like the work gets overwhelming. This is genuinely a really well made and well thought out game. Will definitely be looking forward to future updates especially with everything that is already in the game.

For it's price, this is a good game. Far from perfect, but for 10 hours of fun it's absolutely worth it. However, the endgame is riddled with annoyances. So don't expect more than 10 hours. Pro: It's cute. Decent graphics, and it has a nice feel. You really are a tavern keeper, for good and bad, and you have to provide service to your customers. I couldn't stop playing. It had that "just one more table served" feeling. Pacing is perfect. You get more and more things to sell, and you are always exited for upgrading your tavern and getting new stuff. Cons: Repetitive. You get Fairies to do some of the tasks for you, which is nice, but only the fun ones. There is a Sorcerer coming that expects excellent service, and your fairies are not good enough to provide that. So you have to do their job for them sometimes. Also, the only tasks you cannot outsource are the boring ones. Cleaning and fetching water. So end game, is all about sweeping the floors, fetching water for the dishwashing, and cleaning the toilet. Those minigames are the absolute worst part of the game, and at tavern level 11 out of 12, I simply quit. The fairies also bugs out a lot. Even with all the possible fairies recruited, they are not fast enough to serve everyone, but if you help, the fairies already assigned that one task you do, bugs out and do nothing until you reload. And on a reload, you have to manually assign all the fairies to their task again, or they will idly do nothing. The decorating part of the game is fun, but with all the stuff going on, you have to close your tavern to get that little bit of free time to actually make it look nice. Also the decoration has no practical purpose. It doesn't increase the prices or your earnings, it's purely cosmetic. And if you put stuff on the tables, the customers and fairies keep knocking it over, so you have another task of going around putting the candles back on the table. There are some customers who are absolutely filthy, and drop trash all over your floor. You cannot kick them out. If you hit them with the Pan, you get negative reviews, even though they trash your tavern. This is super annoying, and creates even more busywork, besides having to sweep the floor many times after them. All in all a very fun game, but endgame is boring and repetitive. I had inredible fun for 10 hours, and played another 3 to try and complete some achievements, but ultimately I gave up. Endgame isn't worth it. If you are a completionist, don't bother. If you just want 10 hours of fun, it's worth it. 7/10: would recommend.

It's fun, but there is a lot of noticeable AI art in the game. It really brings down the overall quality, but the game is good despite it. The variety of items to sell is solid, and the small minigames for everything really help break up the monotony. If AI is a dealbreaker for you, maybe skip, otherwise, it's recommended. edit: they're removing the AI art, so I can recommend this game fully.

TLDR; The good: easy to understand, gameplay loop is fairly solid, game runs well and there aren't many bugs, mini games for all the mechanics aren't annoying but give you something to do. The bad: lack of freedom in designing the tavern, furniture/decor options are extremely limited, the helper/staff system is undercooked and doesn't really help at all, the game overall feels unfinished. Should you buy? For $11 I think most people will probably feel they got their moneys worth. At the same time, the overall experience is so shallow. I guess I'll go with recommend since I'm not exactly angered/annoyed enough not to, but below is a more detailed look at why I wasn't thrilled with the game. -Freedom of customization: You don't get to choose where rooms go or which rooms open up first, and there is a very limited selection of actual furniture/decor to select from. Any ground items such as plants/lights/clutter/etc. have giant hitboxes with constant collision--meaning you pretty much cant place anything on the floor, as customers will just kick them into the universe, and there's not a lot of options for putting them anywhere else. Overall, the actual design element of this game is really poor, and would disappoint anyone who enjoys building/decor type modes and games. -Quality of life: You get "staff" in the game, but their AI is dog water and I found myself having to completely restart the game about every 20 minutes to reset the fairies or they'd just be stuck. They move extremely slow, to the point that even having 6 of them all on waiting tables, you'll still fail on urgent customers. At the same time, if you try to also serve/clean, it'll just make it more likely that they bug out and you have to restart, or you mess their queue up and they slowly bring an item you brought just to slowly bring it back to the back of the tavern. They all only carry 1 item at a time, and with tables requesting 5-6 items fairly often in end game, they feel useless. You could put them as cooks, but then you still need to constantly provide water/firewood for the stoves. By the end of the game they just felt more annoying than helpful. -For a full release, it doesn't feel finished: You can upgrade your entire tavern in about 6-8 hours of gameplay, and the mechanics/upgrades leading up to that are extremely shallow. You don't get more than a handful of options for food/drink so there's not much to look forward to. There's a fairly large map, but you'll constantly run into blocked off areas as if the game was early access. There's some easter eggs around the map and that's about it. I guess for $11 you get your moneys worth, but I did leave the game feeling just sort of unsatisfied and wishing there was more.
