The only card game i had was hand of fate which i enjoyed.I saw this on sale thought I would try it.Glad that I did old saying could not put it down.Have looked at some other card games they do not come up to this. I am 76 yrs old so their are others out there that could write a better review.but lets say I am hooked on this and can wait for the second part.

Great deckbuilder, lots of classes that have pretty variable gameplay. I'm a fan of deckbuilders that allow you to create builds that are stupidly powerful, and Tainted Grail delivers in spades, whereas a lot of deckbuilders will sacrifice fun in the pursuit of perfect balance. There is some amount of grinding for base upgrades, but it doesn't feel too punishing. The world is also fairly interesting, and the accompanying dark nordic metal music friggin' slaps. The graphics are also gorgeous, but the game is an absolute resource hog, and I feel like my new laptop will turn into a flaming pile of slag every time I run this for 10 minutes.

You spend most of the time setting up planning a path around the levels, setting up wombo comboes ever other turn, and desperately trying to advance the fairly interesting NPC story lines. Fantastic value, and easy to pop in, play a bit, then save & quit mid battle when you have things to do.

Dark fantasy roguelite RPG/card game blending Arthurian legends and Celtic style, with really satisfying visual effects and graphics for a card game, and amazing, climatic music, especially part made by Danheim. Strongly recommended.
