Kinda like "I, robot" written in "Signalis" (in terms of the human vs. android story and anime yuri stuff). But with easier gameplay and a better ending, this game gives a way satisfying vibe.

Someone else wrote a review saying this is a cozy yuri visual novel. And I agree 100%. It does not do anything groundbreaking with the gameplay, or the story, but they are serviceable enough. The artwork is really pretty though. Also, it wears its influences proudly. Yes this is derivative of prior cyberpunk works, stories, tropes and characters. I'm not saying that's a bad thing. It just doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. But hey, I'll take a lesbian knock-off Major Motoko Kusanagi any day and you bet I will enjoy it! Note: At the time of writing this review, the Steam Achievements for Mac are broken (you won't get any achievements), so if that's important to you, there you have it.

fun vn! good for the price. i like the story and the setting. only issue imo is it does come off too much as man writing women at some points. i think it could be also longer to better set up the romance but i enjoyed it a lot! nice art too.

I found the story kinda common, and the metaphor used are straight from "how to write Yuri / Cyberpunk 101". That being said, it is still well written, narrated and short enough to be read through to the end even though some chapters felt rushed to me. But i'm not gonna lie, I came for the art style and was not disappointed, i didn't expect this game to have a Gallery this huge ! Along with the soundtrack which well manage his reccuring themes (thanks to these enjoyable loops) Synergia is a good enough Visual Novel that meets his ambitions. Not the best, not perfect, but a well crafted one that deserves to be praised nonetheless.

Kind of comfy sci-fi story that tries to get serious but fell on its face towards the end. It tries to be cool by using random jargon throughout but fails to explain the ones that are actually plot relevant. As a result it is pointless to try to understand most of the settings and story progress, the readers sees the artwork, hears the music and generates the most generic dystopian sci-fi city in their mind as the backdrop, really cheapens the experience by failing to introduce any concrete background to the story. Take away the options and this visual novel works better as a novelette than as a game. The UI is mediocre. Why have portraits on both sides but the names always on one side? And keep showing the portrait besides MC when it is a narration? Why pressing A brings you to a menu just for making text big instead of setting it to auto and put that accessibility option..in the option menu? The stupid reflection design choice in the menu is hard to read. The blocky sci-fi fonts used for interface part is hard to read, really disappointing because thats like the only part where you get some lore drop but you cant read most of it because of the garbage font. It's fine.
