Ancient game by now but still worth a buy even if it was released in 2013. It is a solid good shooter game that can be picked up any time and played as-is. It delivers frantic action where your skill and ability to manage crowds is put to test and in my opinion this has not aged a day. Few know about this game but it is worth checking out on sales.

OVERVIEW: Syder arcade by Studio Evil is, as alluded by developers, inspired by titles like Amiga Commodore Project X. This was a game I was passionate about because of its graphics, sound effects and innovative gameplay where you needed to calculate ship momentum when deciding how to dodge incoming shots or meteors. On that era probably the most appealing horizontal shoot em up I played Pros -» Gameplay: you have an array of ships to choose from, some stronger in armor, others on speed or firepower -» Soundtrack and sound effects: they have a great techno vibe from Project X which for me is a bonus -» Graphics: space backgrounds are beautiful, investing on fidelity instead of cartoon style -» Replayability: Good. For instance you have a highscore system (world and friend list based) -» Difficulty: friendlier than Project X but still hard on beginners Cons -» No 2 player option, I can only wish we will have a Syder Arcade 2 with it SUMMARY: Not a love letter to Project X but a pretty nice pickup line. 7.5/10 gaming scale Disclosure: After clearing the main campaign and, as I comeback for new sessions or new updates arise by developers, I intend to keep revising this review
