not exactly blade and sorcery but is very cool as its own game

I Started playing it and couldn't stop and i ended up beating the campaign (it took about 5 hours give or take). i love this game cause its not like blade and sorcery where you look in a person general direction and they die you actually have to put in the effort in order to win. For me, it was a breath of fresh air finally being able to lock in and lose. i played with the Enhanced AI i don't know how much of a difference the combat is without it but i recommend it on. i have 2 cons that were reoccurring annoyances #1 The long swords/ two handed weapons feel like poop to fight with, something about the influence your off hand has makes it feel really bad to me. it feels similar to having virtual stock turned off in Pavlov it just feels wrong. i found myself dropping boss weapons just to pick up a random starter weapon just cause of how bad the 2 handed weapons felt. its a person problem #2 The effect when you get hit is obnoxious i didnt see in any option to turn it off but please make an option for it or a modifier. last thoughts are that its a great game and if mod support comes to this game ill never leave my room. what ever problems anyone could have with this game can be solved with mod support so lets pray that they bring it.

lots of people are comparing this game to blade and sorcery, and for good reason, but I think they differ in several key ways. - enemies actually fight back and strike first - enemies don't just give up and lay on the ground when you hit them - there's a genuine sense of progression and upgrade

The game is good, and the idea behind the game is top-notch, but it hasn't reached its peak yet. It still needs improvement to become more realistic in terms of 1. defense, 2. offense, and also in terms of 3. injuries within the game. For example, in reality, if someone hits you with a sword where there's no armor, say in the leg, it's logical that you would lose that leg, etc. As for progression, if someone is skilled with a sword, knows how to defend well and attack, then in reality it plays a big role regardless of what kind of sword the opponent has, and the game should reflect that so it becomes much higher quality and more appealing for longer gameplay, otherwise it quickly becomes boring. I hope for improvements in the game, so that it remains appealing for continued play, and for practice as well :)

The game is advertised as realistic swordfighting, but more "advanced" techniques like zwerchhau are very glitchy to pull off. I guess that's just the VR's iissue and not the game. But half swording is also very annoying and glitchy to use in this game. With certain stabs, the character's hands will stick into the enemy AI even if I'm moving backward so I'd have 1 long stretchy arm that takes some time to come back. The only weapons that feel slightly good to use are the 1 handers. It's still fun tho
