I Started playing it and couldn't stop and i ended up beating the campaign (it took about 5 hours give or take). i love this game cause its not like blade and sorcery where you look in a person general direction and they die you actually have to put in the effort in order to win. For me, it was a breath of fresh air finally being able to lock in and lose. i played with the Enhanced AI i don't know how much of a difference the combat is without it but i recommend it on. i have 2 cons that were reoccurring annoyances #1 The long swords/ two handed weapons feel like poop to fight with, something about the influence your off hand has makes it feel really bad to me. it feels similar to having virtual stock turned off in Pavlov it just feels wrong. i found myself dropping boss weapons just to pick up a random starter weapon just cause of how bad the 2 handed weapons felt. its a person problem #2 The effect when you get hit is obnoxious i didnt see in any option to turn it off but please make an option for it or a modifier. last thoughts are that its a great game and if mod support comes to this game ill never leave my room. what ever problems anyone could have with this game can be solved with mod support so lets pray that they bring it.

lots of people are comparing this game to blade and sorcery, and for good reason, but I think they differ in several key ways. - enemies actually fight back and strike first - enemies don't just give up and lay on the ground when you hit them - there's a genuine sense of progression and upgrade

The sword fight physics are kind of buggy but this is a cool game. Win arena fights. Buy new weapons and armor. Upgrade your stats.

Well first off its amazing-ish. Let me give you some feedback however. So I avidly play vr titles to get in my cardio. I am a professional power lifter of 11 years and this is my kind of cardio. I take these vr titles seriously and try to make it feel as "practical as possible". I do fence at 5 points fencing academy infrequently due to my size. When I was younger I fenced 3 times a week for 2 hour sessions. Now as a 252lbs power lifter, I am too big so Ive swaped to Hema where combatants wear "armor" and participate in Mock fights. We occassionaly get fitted in more "real" armor and use blunted steel to fight. Its very very fun. Technique often gets thrown out the window however because you both barely feel the pain of getting hit. Pros 1. I can say without a doubt that this is very accurate on swings, parries etc 2. Its intriguing to see what my technical strikes actually do to NPCS who care about not dying. 3. Its overall a fun take on fighting without much of an agenda then Survive. 4. Solid groundwork for something truly amazing. Cons 1. I use real swords and polearms 2 handed in my Hema Fights and I can tell you this game does an extremely poor representation of my irl sport. I actually hate this games interpretation of what its like to use anything two handed. Its beyond wrong. I cannot do any kind of counter strike or proper parry etc. Forget trying to chain hit with any meaningful combo strikes. 2. Bosses are kind of extremely Op? Im telling you right now a gash in half of the weak points in the bosses armor, you wouldnt be moving that limb well if at all. Dont care how bad-ass you think you are, a strong cut under the armpit, behind the leg, inner thigh, you are going down or limping off. 3. Some of the hits dont make sense to me on NPC reaction? Like you see someones hand is unprotected, you slice right across their knuckles, and they shrug it off? No swapping the weapon to the other hand perhaps? 4. Blade alignment is finicky. I will parry and go in for a counter to the inside of the elbow, 70% of the time I will hear a satisfying slice, but other times its this weird blunt hit. 5. Punching, forget it. From my IRL experience in Hema, I am a HUUUUGE puncher. I box 2 days a week and have been for 7 years now. If you stumble someone with a blow from your weapon and get up in their space and haymaker their ass, they are supposed to react. There is NO reaction. They just pretend it didnt happen more often than not and attack?????? Like what????????????????????????????????????? 6. Weapon bashing, forget about that too. I occassionally smash my opponents in the ring with my pommel or with the shaft with polearms. In this game there is absolutely 0 reaction? I do not approve of this. 7. Reactions of NPCs are beyond laughable. Get swatted in the face with an axe and just bounce your head back? try no such luck in real life buddy. This game needs an astronamical amount of realism added. Its already got a solid foundation. The Cons on this list alone ruin the entire game for me personally. I fight in real life, this is not even close to how it is. I beat the game in less than 5 hours of playtime even going methodically with strikes etc. Im sure there have been people who cheese their way through this in less, but I took every fight as it was supposed to be taken, seriously and with tact and care. You guys have a great formula, but your starting like everyone else and spreading to wide. Hone in, focus on whats important. The zombie mode you could have done without, it brings little to no value. I would solely focus on the issues in this list, then work on your upgrade system etc, but zombies need to be dead last, it truly does nothing for your formula and only brings the game down in standard.
