I remember playing this game back in the day when I was 7, in that time my parents couldn't afford to buy me a good PC, I was playing this on Y8.com using an old clunker laptop, it was a great experience but in that time I didn't complete the series cuz I was playing the demo version of it from the Y8.com, fun experience though, nostalgia hits hard, that is why I purchased this game.

Swords and Sandals II: Emperor's Reign features game breaking bugs, seemingly unending grinding, frustratingly unfair rng mechanics, extreme imbalance between different builds, requires you to counter every single possible conceivable and unconceivable enemy type, and has a lot of other extra bs. And this is the best game in collection. Then again nostalgia, so 5/5.

Tl;dr: Sword & Sandals Classic Collection offers a great deal of content and fun if you are seeking nostalgia, but ready to have some frustrating experiences considering its games' randomness-driven nature. There are quite a few titles in this pack, and I have played all of them to earn all the achievements as well as going back in time for some nostalgia. You can find my thoughts regarding each game down below, but they state that all games fall below today's game standards considering their design. Some of them are still enjoyable especially when the nostalgia factor is included. The first Sword & Sandals game does not promise much. It is a classic, but since Sword & Sandals 2 is a title that is better in every way than it, that's pretty much it. Unless you would like to complete all games as I did, you can pass the first Sword & Sandals game. In my opinion, Sword & Sandals 2 is the best game in this package. It has a great amount of content, replayability, and depth to it. Although the randomness in all of the games is frustrating, in the second game, it makes the most sense considering combat mechanics and the overall gameplay. You prioritize your power, normal, and quick attacks to best fit the current situation, and can mix them with additional attack types and spells. I believe Sword & Sandals 2, by itself, makes this pack worth playing. Sword & Sandals 3 is a controversial title regarding its random and grindy nature. It offers various playstyles, but they either truly lack randomness or have too much of it. The bosses in the game are made in a way that I can't even think of defeating them without exploiting the game. Despite these, the quality of the item system and the variety of playstyles in Sword & Sandals 3 make it an explorable title. Sword & Sandals Crusader has a unique spot in the package. It has a different core gameplay loop than the other games in the series, and I like it a lot. Its campaign offers a few hours of gameplay with various challenges. The game tries its best to let the player explore more than one playstyle as well. With its unique turn-based nature, Sword & Sandals Crusader, I think, is one of the best games in the series. Sword & Sandals 4: Tavern Quests is a game that you would enjoy playing with your friends. When you play it by yourself, it doesn't have much to offer. The game is too easy and it doesn't have fun player interactions when played against the AI. If you are looking for a game for the purpose of nostalgia and to play with your friends, Sword & Sandals 4: Tavern Quests offers that, but do not expect much considering its minigames. Overall, the classic collection I believe offers a game for everyone checking it, but you should play the game with the right expectations since its games' gameplay design definitely creates frustrating situations for players from time to time due to their random nature.
