Quick, mystery horror game with jump scares. Finished the game in 1.5 hours. There are two endings. The graphics are amazing, I especially like the depth of field in certain angles. The main character at the beginning is a bit annoying when you're finding clues as he gives his input for every single clue you find. It is unnecessary and you can't skip it. The game is a bit repetitive in looking for the clues as well as when you're trying to find the login/password, but it is still a lot of fun to see what imagery you're going to get next. Playing this alone is very scary especially with headphones on, sound design is very good, but this would also be a lot of fun with friends as you can scream/laugh together. The story is overall good especially when you find out the truth of what's going on, it's disturbing. Low replay value since it is the same game, unless you wait months to reply it again. I had a lot of fun with this game.

Pretty solid, especially for a solo dev. Overall, I look forward to seeing what this dev does in the future. Detailed review (includes some spoilers): - The voice recognition mechanic was interesting, though it could be given a little more telegraphing, and maybe a wider selection of recognized lines. Around $1 in LLM credits would let you ask it for a mile-long list of actions and reactions (drawn from the current set, so no new code would be needed), if you give it an XML file with the current ones as examples. You could also put a (very small) text embedding model into the game, and use embedding distance to identify phrases that are semantically similar to a known phrase. Giving a bit more of a tutorial for it would help a lot, too, since it's always hard to tell what a game with voice recognition expects from the player. - Similarly, looking at playtesters and grabbing some of the more common lines. It knows a lot of them, but "I'm here to help" didn't seem to cause a response, despite being one of the more common things a ghost hunter would say. - The 'behind you' mechanic was interesting, but should be blocked out during story moments and cutscenes, It could also be telegraphed when it ends. - I still don't entirely grasp the mechanic where the microphone appears, but it stopped killing me when I remained silent and focused my flashlight on her. There was a very startling moment where I spoke through one of the cameras, and it homed in on the camera I was talking through. - The game might benefit from some kind of voice line when you've found everything in an area, to make replays cleaner after the Steam achievements are already obtained. - On that front, clusters of similar clues could stand to play their voice lines in order, rather than in the order they're discovered (e.g. instead of bloodstains 1..2..3 playing voicelines 1..2..3, voicelines 1, 2, and 3 fire in order no matter which stain the player looks at first. - The animations were definitely solid, and suitably creepy. In spite of a handful of rough edges, I would nonetheless recommend the game - the fact that I care enough to spend this long post pointing them out should speak to the fact that the game is worth playing.

Game is a very decent experience. I had a great time with it. one thing I would say is, the detective does give a lot of redundant dialog at the beginning of the game. We get that you are investigating the murder and don't need to repeat that to us every clue. The overall game play feels pretty fluid. There were a few times I felt lost, but being able to ask the ghost for help kept things going. I did get a lot of good scares out of this One thing I did not like was losing control of my character when some scares or cut scenes happen. I feel it would have been better for them to happen in real time during the game. I do wish the experience was a bit longer, but it was decently long. The game does need some work for performance, but it was very playable on my system. I have a i9 9900k CPU and RTX 3080 GPU, and it played just fine for me on high settings. would definitely give this game a try. Its very good for a one person development team.
