Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League; is it really as bad as people are making it up to be? with some going as far as calling it one of the worst games ever made ? in my humble opinion the answer is no . (Bring on the pitchforks!) So, is it a good game then? as a 70$ live service title? certainly not, but as a 14-18h 3.49$ campaign? you can do way worse than this imo, and to me it was certainly more than worth it for that price. I'd like to start by saying i've been holding on playing this game for a while now, i was fully expecting to hate it & to have a terrible time with it after all the negative reviews i had read & watched (many of which are admittedly well deserved), but now that i've finally given it a shot i'm having a really good time with it and even wish i started it sooner. Look, i'm a DC fan, and we haven't been getting that many decent AAA games (or movies) lately, i already liked the suicide squad characters and thought they were decently portrayed here, and i was already aware of how they shat on batman's legacy as i had so much of the story spoiled for me long ago and i agree, they should've never done that along with all the other things wrong with the game, it should've never been a live service game to begin with, but still, even with all this, it IS still fun and enjoyable for the right price, and calling it one of the worst games out there is just not fair nor accurate imo. Let's start with the good : + I've yet to finish the story (i'm like 80%(?) done with it) but so far it's been pretty good and entertaining, and i'm looking forward to see what will happen next. (the parts that weren't spoiled for me anyways.) + The Suicide Squad/Task Force X themselves are decently portrayed here and i've been enjoying most of the interactions & banter between them, speaking of which; i was very hesitant to let myself enjoy the characters & the story and wouldn't even let myself laugh at some of the jokes at first due to my prejudice from all the negative reviews i mentioned earlier but then i realized, what am i doing? if a joke is stupid but still funny to me then who cares? just laugh and have a good time! i really enjoyed a lot of the jokes & humor in this game and thought many of the stupid/silly cutscenes were actually funny, i even had a few laugh out loud moments which i never expected! + The cutscenes are excellent quality-wise imo, i loved them in Arkham Knight and i love them here too, if you are into taking screenshots in games you're in for a real treat here! (the game is worth it to me for that alone.) + The graphics are beautiful with some excellent looking characters, it also ran well enough for me. + Great voice acting. + I haven't experienced any crashes or major bugs to speak of (so far anyways). The Bad : - There are only a handful of mission types in the game that gets recycled throughout the story, so far it's alright but for a live service title? certainly unacceptable and i can see myself easily getting sick of them in the long run. (not that i plan to stick around past finishing the campaign anyways.) - The map is riddled with the usual endless Riddler slop, i was never a fan of them in the previous batman titles and i'm certainly not a fan of them here, get that shi- outta my game! - All the live-service aspects, i won't be talking about those as i have no interest in them. ( I'm NOT reviewing this as a live service title! ) - Enemy variety is lacking, and some are unfun to go against, some side missions restrict how you can kill them making them even more annoying to deal with. - The traversal aspect for Harley (and Captain Boomerang to a lesser extent) suck, i would've loved to play more of her as she seems fun but i just can't.. The meh : - The gameplay seems to be the most polarizing aspect of the game for people, i personally didn't love it or hate it, it was just "alright" to me, certainly a downgrade compared to the old Arkham style gameplay but still very much serviceable. - The loot so far is pretty meh. All in all, if you go into this NOT as a live service game but as a short 3.49$ campaign set in the Arkham universe AND can look past the disrespect to Arkham's batman legacy (which is admittedly something not everyone can do) i think you'll manage to have a good time with it (especially with friends!). Yes, a lot of the hate is warranted, but that doesn't mean there isn't fun left to be had with the game still. 7/10 for 3.49$, 4/10 for 70$. (i wasn't gonna dare score it that high but let the abuse come!)

I am enjoying the game a ton at the $14 price point! Well worth the experience to see the amazing graphics animations and open world they created. Runs really good on my PC maxed out as well. I can understand peoples frustration if they spent $100 on this but at sub $15 I cant complain about much at all.
