Written potentially spoiler free (though this is a very old game, it'd be hard for there to be spoilers tbh), character names mentioned, and endgame mentions. Better with Controller (Xbox Icons), and best locked to 60fps (anything above has third person camera issues) Played through to 100% (All Items, All quests, Complete Monster Log, etc.) A little trip down nostalgia lane, Sudeki is one of those games that I completely forgot about for years until stumbling upon it again, solving a few easy puzzles admittedly child me could never get past without help (we all miss button prompts okay) and finally kicking the final bosses ass with new knowledge into mechanics I couldn't fathom when I was younger (blocking, mostly) From sweet beginnings in the pretty town of New Brightwater, to the treacherous Void of the Shadow Lands, into the unfortunately decrepit world of Akloria, the game was the blast from the past that really scratched an itch I didn't know I had. Shockingly fun FPS (guns? in my fantasy?) with a decent melee combo system, I couldn't recommend it enough if you want that old vibe of titles long gone, and although the story is incredibly basic for what it is, I for one can admit: going to places to get the crystals and defeat the big bad was very very refreshing in an age of innumerable side quests and attempts at overarching storylines that end up going nowhere. With charming dialogue here and there, and a very pleasant world to look through, Sudeki still remains a game I'll cherish in my heart of hearts from now until forever. The couple complaints I have with the game only lie in the endgame, and a balance issue. - The final boss only allows the use of True Tal, a disappointment for the end of the game with all your characters maxed out, though fitting for the story beat left a little to be desired. - Elco and Ailishes uncompromising DPS in an RPG game, with their single shot high damage weapons feeling like they completely outclassed anything else in their arsenals (one of which Elco starts with btw) it left their side of gameplay feeling very lackluster, especially with their ultimate weapons being light upgrades of their starting weapons. Advice for anyone looking to play for the first time, keep hold of your Brightwater Pearls and Omnium, you need them for some special rewards, as well as all orbs you'll receive to buff yourself mega come endgame c: Until next time you elite guards of Illumina <3

Character mechanics really made this game enjoyable. It might be old but it's gold.

I wanted to revisit this game, because I used to play it when I was little, but never finished it. It was really suprising how much I actually liked it still, and it was also a surprisingly good experience on the Steam Deck. I really like the combat system, and the abilities especially. Recommended if you want to try out a very simple action RPG.

I played this game as a kid, and loved it. Playing it again now, and I still love it. The graphics aren't as good as I remember (because of course they aren't), but I am enjoying it, and loving rediscovering the world of Sudeki. Story is fairly solid as well. Some of the English is a little broken, but its mostly funny eg "I'm going to kill you in the face" is a line from a character.

Very unique action RPG. Right off the bat you get colorful visuals, action, lil bit of exploration, TnA characters, tons of worldbuilding. The first main character plays like a hack n' slash, and the second character to join the party plays like an FPS. The devs were obviously following that "give the players what they want" philosophy, which was very common with games from that era, and sadly absent in current big studio games. The histerically corny voice acting elevates it to a whole new level, in my opinion. The story is fun, I didn't care for it at the start (couldn't take it seriously because of the voice acting), but once things got going I kinda got into it, it has a couple of hype moments here and there. The one big thing I didn't like was (light spoilers ahead) the final boss and ending, both felt really rushed and half-baked, leaving the player with nothing but a couple of quick cutscenes. No unlockables, no NG+, just cheese the final boss with skills, watch the credits, and load your last save if you want. That was a huge buzzkill, but I don't feel like it ruined the entire thing, the game just deserved way better. Would recommend for those who like non-traditional action RPGs and that 2000's console adventure game aesthetic. And god bless the people who designed and 3D sculpted Buki.
