A solid and satisfying rapid transit simulator. I don't know Hamburg very well, but I do know that driving through the city scenery on elevated tracks is delightful. Operating the train feels good, and it mostly sounds good too. There are a few basic scenarios, and a 24-hour timetable in which you can operate any of the services. There's also an Expert Mode, where you choose the track, direction, time of day, and amount of AI traffic, with minimal in-game help for setting up the train and driving it. There aren't a lot of complications to the runs. AI trains are on time, and there aren't any delays (not counting the ones caused by our own ineptitude). The main objective as a driver is to arrive on time, and stop as close to the "Halt" marker as possible. Maybe other players will wish for more than this, but it's great for a player like me, who likes to perfect the art of stopping smoothly, or memorizing the route and knowing when to slow down on sharp curves. All in all, I'm pleased. Metro/subway/rapid rail simulators are notorious for being dime-a-dozen cashgrabs. This is not one of them.

Wow, I refunded this game when it was first released and it has gotten so much better! I can't believe it's the same game. Kudos to the developers for continuing to improve it. If you tried it before and weren't impressed, give it another go, the graphics, performance, playability, sounds have all been greatly improved. Using this with a flightsim throttle controller is a great experience.

This is an interesting entry into the plethora of subway sims on the market. The trains, stations, and signs all appear to be very well modelled and accurately detailed. My only real complaint is that there doesn't feel like there's enough happening in the world. Every train is on time and nothing ever delays you. Would be neat to see the modelled train systems play more of a role with breakdowns, and other random events. Still, excited to see where Simuverse goes with this and Subway Sim 2.

i enjoy this sim partly because i can handle the controller input so easily, and Hamburg is in a few other sims of mine. This one hints at Elbphilharmonie building, but the subway is underground near it ?

Don't normally review games, but I purchased this after seeing the developers had released a major update that addresses the previous criticisms. So far it seems great, so give it a chance because the older negative reviews are based on a much older version.
