Cute and creepy! If you're a fan of simple horror games with cute aesthetics then this game is was tailor made for you. It's very close to being a walking simulator, albeit with light puzzle elements. There's a lot of charm and detail with each subway car you venture through. Pros - Short and sweet but challenging - Takes full advantage of 2D and 3D models to give a sense of uneasiness other than the train car anything that was 3D felt really out of place but in a way that elevated tension. You really felt like something isn't quite right about how it's being presented. - Sound design is eerily excellent and atmospheric - Extremely unique artstyle blending with each subway car Honorable mention - Puzzles were really satisfying I like being rewarded with a small animated cutscene after helping each ghost - Love the font choice! Cons - Relies a little too much on jumpscares and loud noises at times - The main character's controls a little bit slippery like the floor is made of ice and it makes some precise movements hard to get through. This is most apparent when you need to tightrope walk certain places or squeeze between hurtboxes. Nit Picks - A few puzzles feel too much like trial and error. Most that are give you enough time to try and figure it out, but there are a few that felt like I needed to die to figure out. - Aesthetically there are a few cars that don't fit the theme for example most of the angler's cars are based around water/fish, but there's one that is just a room with an evil mirror version of the mc that chases you I could see this being done for variety's sake and have some of the cars moved around.

subway midnight is a rad game, but there is some stuff new players might want 2 know. 1) you cant change ANY settings aside from fullscreen/window, and there are no manual saves (it autosaves after each room change--usually if the screen goes black, it's saved) 2) there are 3 endings. you have to play at least 3 times to get everything, but itll skip over completed sections on future plays. for your first run, its better to go in blind. after that, you should use a guide for the more tedious/confusing puzzles (i used this one: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2883277134) 3) there are only a handful of traditional jumpscares in this game, which is awesome for people who hate those. the horror is mainly from the atmosphere, and playing several times doesnt detract from it. imo the visuals and atmosphere are the strongest parts of this game 4) moving around in colin's game is almost as fun as having a coughing fit in the middle of an exam
