Wow. After 20 years I actually made it back to this game and completed it. This is a classic and solid castle-builder. Comes with a wholesome universe and humor. Old school gameplay dynamics can be frustrating in combat, for instance, the one-click system. BUT the game is fun and gives you a lot of freedom. Give it a chance and dig in!
