Played this twice already and it's a fun and relaxing experience. I really enjoyed organising the shop and plants and exploring on the map. I just wish there were more "random" customers, just needing another plant. Currently you sell the vast majority of plants only once and the mystery progresses quite fast. I always want to stay longer in that shop and just have a good time figuring out, want plant someone needs and have the mystery develop much slower. Nontheless: A great game with a great atmosphere!

Really great game, I sat down and finished it in one night. I just wish that there was more after game content. Once you beat the game, you can go back and finish identifying any remaining plants, but it would be cool if you could enter into an endless game mode where you simply fill out orders. I wanted to do more puzzle solving in terms of figuring out what elixirs to use, what plants could cure ailments caused by other plants, and play around more with the lab set. But please buy this game! You won't regret it!

I really wish this game was longer and I keep looking for other games like it. as someone who likes creepy stuff, plants, and "you figure it out" mentality in games, I need more. argh!

Strange Horticulture is one of the most creative puzzle games I've seen in a long time. Not because of how complex or difficult the puzzles are, but for how all of the puzzles are seamlessly integrated into the narrative and tone of the game. In Strange Horticulture, you own a lonely, rainy little flower shop containing powerful and deadly plants. It's quiet, relaxing, and a just little bit unnerving. Most games would have the narrative and ambiance be a backdrop for puzzle solving, but in this game you're forced to get absorbed into this world. Discovering plants and knowing the best ones to use for different scenarios requires that you to get buried in your notes, observe details like a scientist, and explore the world to answer your questions. I found that the game rarely forced me to make progress, and that most discoveries I made were of my own accord. I really don't want to say more, if you enjoy puzzles or detective games at all then please play this game, preferably by yourself on a rainy day off.

This game allows you to sit casually in a plant shop, enjoy some plant porn; while toying with the ideas of joining a cult, betraying a friend, murdering a man, and defeating a mythical creature. The visual is aesthetic, the ambience is chilled - all the drama and tension just take place in your own head. A very captivating experience for players and a clever setup by the devs.
