Its the SKATE of parkour games. Movement is satisfying. If you expect a flawless game at early access idk why you are that way. Game shows a lot of promise for fans of the genre.

This is my first ever review and Im doing it first and foremost to support the boys at Storror, but also to address some of the things in the negative reviews. Most especially in regards to the "input lag" that I have seen a lot of people complain about. I also was off put by this for a moment until I realized what was actually happening. We have been conditioned as gamers to "press A to jump" and then your character is in the air. This is not what Storror Parkour pro does. The movement and animation is based off of real life flow and character movement. What "Pressing A to jump" does is begin your characters animation for jumping. Meaning your character begins his squat then the actual jump is a moment later. Without this understanding, movement can definitely feel like there is lag at first. But once I understood how everything functioned, the flow of it started to make sense and the movement started to feel so natural. Like more natural than Ive ever felt in a game, and I was very impressed with that. It is also not a game that you can just sit down and do everything immediately. It requires a lot of patience and practice to build skill. Even the little improvement I made in my short playtime, it got significantly easier and felt so smooth. TLDR: what I thought originally was input lag, turned out to be the functionality of movement, and it turned out to be some of the smoothest and natural movement in a video game that I have ever experienced. Ive also seen negative reviews complaining about how bad the tutorial is. There are some bugs in the tutorial, but the concept itself is very helpful. It lays everything out in simple terms, shows you on screen what buttons to push, and tells you exactly what to do and where to go. It is a very intuitive tutorial. Its just a little buggy and contains a lot of information. FInally ive read a few say there isnt any multiplayer, which just isnt correct. It isnt explained how to get there, but its there. On Xbox controller you just press select while in game and it brings up the menu It is pretty buggy right now, the UI is not the best, theres not too much content, and theres a high learning curve, but the movement and gameplay is extraordinary and groundbreaking. It may not be for everyone, but Storror is truly making something special here

I'm enjoying it so far, but it's definitely still in Early Access. Feels like it does need a few more optimization passes and some tightening up on the controls, there are bugs here and there, security will flings themselves off buildings at you... BUT... it's in Early Access. Going to keep an eye on it as it progresses. If you're concerned about the current state/looking for a fleshed out product, I would wait.

I believe the game would greatly benefit from having a map editor and a way to share these maps with the community. This would significantly enhance the gameplay experience. Similar to Trackmania, where ultimately, it's the community that contributes the most to the game's content.
