One of the finer 2D puzzle-platforming games out there. You have to solve the chambers while avoiding and using the elements of the security system at the same time. The game consists of "worlds", each of which introduces a new element. The cherry on top of the cake is getting S rank in each level. You have to master not just the individual puzzles, but the movement as well, because the time constraint is strict sometimes. The real challenge arrives with the DLC that includes levels an order of magnitude harder than the ones in tha base game. I also found the OST so captivating that I purchased it as well. Unfortunately the servers are down and the community content cannot be played anymore.

its alright, if the price were to be around 50% less it would be a pretty good deal some of the puzzles can be a bit confusing but overall most should enjoy it, it has quite an impressive amount of content

While I personally prefer the sequel, Stealth Bastard is still a great game in its own right. This is a high pace stealth game that constantly evolves, with every sector introducing new a set of new gimmicks and enemies to dodge. While I'm not a fan of the pixel art, the game still feel appropriately oppressive, not just in the metal corridors and "set dressing", but also in the commentary that follows you. Rather than pointing out the obvious, or even just providing out of universe tutorials, the commentary contributes to the sadistic atmosphere, and gives you the opportunity to laugh at your own mistakes. The trial-and-error difficulty is softened by the knowledge that the devs were well aware of where players would fail, and you aren't alone. This is also supported by frequent checkpoints allowing you to fail fast and succeed faster. But the best part about this game is the music. I've probably listened to the soundtrack for longer than I've played the game. A perfect match for the game's tone and gameplay. Why Ricky Honmong hasn't been hired as a sound artist outside of this series is beyond me. My main problem, aside from the pixel art and short length, is that a good chunk of content is restricted behind S ranking every level in a given sector. These S ranks require you to not die once, while completing the level within a tight time limit. Not a great fit for a trial and error game like this. Some of the sectors can feel a bit repetitive, pulling out too few mechanics for too long, and its for these reason I prefer the more dense and lax sequel, on top of it having a better story, soundtrack and emotional variance.
