The fact this game is now over 20 years old and Starts up and runs with little drama is amazing. This game is from a time when Star Wars was good and the setting was a bit darker and had more edge to it. Republic Commando is a game where you play as the clone commando 38 and even on the worst/darkest parts of the game your squad will still make quips about killing droids and aliens alike. If you have never played this game before just buy it. The game is cheap there are mods if you want better graphics and the story and characters are great. Republic Commando is a Classic 8/10 game

Underrated, great gameplay, really kicks your emotions in the gut at the end. Please, Republic Commando 2, don't even update the graphics, just give me more of this.

Still one of the best Star Wars games ever made. Still the best Clone Wars side-story ever written, both the books and this game. Still the saddest cliff-hanger that the series has left us on. Fantastic FPS, with pretty slick squad control. It's nothing impressive by today's standards, but at the time this was an amazing marriage of tactical shooter and console shooter. The DNA this game created can still be felt in games like Siege, and Ready or Not. Don't skip out, it's dirt cheap on sale, and still VERY-VERY worth it without a sale.
