Game is fantastic, however two people that I play this with have suffered appendicitis whilst playing. While unlikely, lighting doesnt strike twice and I believe there is a correlation.

I played this game as a kid on my grandpa's computer and it was good then, just base game is a fun time that can give you tons of replayability. Flash forward to 2024 and it goes on sale on May 4th, I had no idea that this game offered mod support, but when I say this game and its mod community are top tier I mean. Over 100 hours in and can say I enjoyed every minute. Highly recommend it if you like RTS games or if you like Star Wars, especially pre Disney era.

I'm probably not the best person to review this because this was the first strategy game I ever played. So I got huge rose tinted glasses. On the other hand it is my duty to spread the word of one of the best Star Wars games ever made. Even after all these years it gets patched by the original developers. And with every patch they release the game becomes more stable for mods, which I can't say for some games these days. So go delve into the relatively casual (but still solid) base game. Or delve into its amazing mod catalog! I especially want to recommend Thrawn's Revenge, set in the post original trilogy Lucas era canon. Playing this again has brought back so many memories. And I am off to make some new ones! *Activates Hyperdrive.

This game is the gold standard for star wars games IMO, and the fact that something that came out over a decade ago is still getting updates and fixes while BF2 lies dead is telling of the integrity of Petroglyph, 10/10 would reccomend

One of the most addicting RTS' I've ever played, the space combat is perfection. A must have for not only Star Wars fans, but also RTS fans. The mods make it even better, one of the best strategy games ever made Also Petroglyph are chads for still updating the game.
