I don't really know how to score this one. It's not amazing, but it's terrible either. I had some fun in this game...but it could also be better. I'm giving it a thumbs up because I don't feel like you'd regret buying it on the cheap. But I think this is also a title that you wouldn't miss too much if you passed up either.

[EDIT] Use the test/development branch, most issues have been fixed and there's more content. There's a lot to be said about a game like this that still gets updates. At this point, there are so many options in builds, it's one of the best. Recommended. [Original Review] It was really fun, until the beam weapons stopped working. Not sure if it was the last update but now the graphic gets stuck and no damage come out, makes it impossible to do an all-beam run. It's still sort of playable but some of the most fun weapons like flame throwers and plasma torches are beam weapons and thus break shortly after each map starts. Until this bug is fixed, I can't recommend it.

[UPDATE] I just realized that I could close the game and restart it and the memory issue is better for another several missions. Not ideal of course certain, but it takes the stuttering from making the game unplayable to a being an annoyance. Hopefully this gets fixed soon, as indicated. But in the meantime I have been able play and enjoy the game very much. In it's current state I would give it a medium, but given Yes or No, with what I know now, I will give it a Yes. [Original Review] I really want to like this game... It's right up my alley. But it unplayable past mission 4-6. It starts stuttering like crazy and the ship becomes uncontrollable. I have been waiting to see if the issue gets fixed... but nothing. It's a shame.

Fun game. For $5 it is a recommend especially after weapon combos. August it was announced another developer is taking over this game, they said they are many more updated planned. Looking forward for any updates!

Semi-polished and mostly complete bullet heaven. Suffers from One Developer Syndrome. In this case, too much ambition, not enough playtesting and polish. Besides campaign mode, which is on par, the other two game modes are repetitive not fun. Art could use more inspiration, and the ships lack skin choice. Plays like an above average mod of a 5 star game. 6/10
