I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the horror elements. Game mechanics were interesting and cool (even tho gameplay is kinda glitchy). ONE BIG CON OF THE GAME IS... I've been totally invested in the story but that ending... What was that ending, it's literally zero effort, it felt incomplete. Story was really exciting at the beginning but later the story gets so disconnected and the game turns into walking simulator indie horror game. I'm frustrated... BTW I hit a game-breaking bug ( picking up the last rose towards to end of the game ), I had to restart the game and start over the mission. It took me 5 mins but as far as I see some people weren't be able to proceed, so you might wanna consider it before buying the game. Overall it was fun, spooky and immersive journey for me. 8/10

I finished the gem Stairs. It wan't a Hard game; just strange getting used to the mechanics, and the story's point. It Is kind of vague in that respect but you figure out whats up by about half way and really it gets weirder every time you 'shift' for the lack of a better word. Your camera is your BEST friend. Check your journal often. I has a lot of time trying to figure out the both, when My life was really being threatened. There are things you Don't want to meet so be sneaky! My over all with the slow pace but cool feel and interesting endings. I give this an 8 of 10, a must get when you can for cheaper and you Might during upcoming sales!! I would recommend this as an add to your collection as a strange game to play to challenge yourself to step outside the box of your 'comfort' space. Its scary and Uncomfortable in this game. It was an excellent experience. The end will be your because mine was strange. I don't think I got the great ending, but still I had fun. You will also as long as you start to understand this a bit.

https://youtu.be/_koTiYAGZu8 So lets get this out of the way first: This game gets of to a pretty slooow start, trying to build the 'horror' elements. And in all honesty it probably could have done with picking up the pace a bit faster. So it's not a bad game, just be warned that you will need to wait for things to pick up. If your not the patient sort, then this is probably not going to be your cup of tea. With that said, once the game does get going its actually pretty decent - with good voice acting, middle of the road puzzles and very nice visuals. Although it is build on the UDK engine so it should look damn fine, but I did get some screen tearing and the odd stutter here and there. At least the controls are mostly smooth and responsive,. apart from the occaisional catching on objects. So overall, if you can suffer the limping start, whilst not a must play, the game is a decent enough purchase for its price range.

For a game named after them, there's an awful lot of stairs which you can't quite manage to access in the early part of this game. This is partly due to the fact that your character can't even jump the one-and-a-half feet off the ground required to traverse such mighty obstacles as a couple of timber slabs on the ground (blocking access to said stairs). Rest assured, though, that you will eventually encounter stairs you can actually traverse, though perhaps not enough of them to fully justify the game's title. Dubious titling aside, there's no denying that there's some spooky-assed moments in this game - even one truly inspired section involving a series of Will-o'-the-Wisps you need to follow to keep OUT of danger! - though quite what these developers mean when they say "psychological horror", I have no idea. Being very PHYSICALLY chased around by some girl who looks like she just plopped out of a Japanese horror film, and insta-kills you the second she gets near...that's "psychological", is it? I shall be sure to ponder that great mystery the next time I take a highly "psychological" shit. Look, let's just say this is a very solid HORROR game, period, and leave it at that, shall we? (Which isn't to say there aren't some faintly dodgy aspects, including some of the voice acting; but at least the footsteps of your character are fairly subtle and realistic, for a change. Most horror games, it's like you're wearing concrete boots, fa fuck's sake!) Verdict: 8/10. (PS Anyone nursing a phobia of penises may want to give this game a wide berth. Just a warning. Don't think I've seen so much dick in a game since the mighty Outlast...)

Loved this game! It was quite exciting, the ambient is really scary and you lose trust very easily, The puzzles are something to think, and the story is pretty good.. Although I wasn't a big fan of the ending, But either way!! I LOVED IT.. Would really recommend it! (:
