Ages ago, I played the demo of Space Crew, and resolved never to buy the game. I did not like the way I had to personally tag enemy craft for my crew to shoot at them (as otherwise they would happily stare out the window at the ship shooting at them without returning fire); I did not like the way I couldn't ever recruit enough crew to fill the ship; I did not like the way the time-slow mechanic (which was your means of dealing with the overwhelming juggling of everything all the time all at once) was a limited resource. A friend raved about the game again, and it had been so long that I had forgotten mostly about it, other than a vauge sense of 'this is familiar.' I raised those concerns, and my friend promised me they'd been addressed; and they have been! Now you can set a difficulty option to have enemy craft automatically tagged, or automatically tagged but only if a crew member is in the right seat; you can recruit an extra gunner (which does not actually fill the ship up entirely, but leaves you with only one seat to juggle), and you can make the slow-mo mode unlimited. So yes, I would recommend Space Crew: Legendary Edition, when it's on a nice sale.

For 25 dollars, a really good game, good amount of customization with a pretty good balance on difficulty, may not be for everyone since you aren't the one shooting ships down. The only bad part is that the extra campaign resets all of your progress and has zero carry over.

i love this game i you guys really nailed the crew managing part and the combat is so immersive and fun but the thing that you missed was the fleet vs fleet aspect. it should not be you vs a group of enemies it should be fleet vs fleet for example add missions that include other light cruisers like the player's ship to destroy a phasmid outpost or during the final mission there is other EDF ships distracting the phasmid ships so that the player can go inside the queen and self destruct. also add more EDF ships like how you can encounter phasmid frigates randomly but add them for the EDF. having random AI battles when you get out of hyperspace is a great start so keep it up.

Incredible game design, and well built customization. I really enjoyed Bomber Crew, but Space Crew is even more fun for me because I'm a sucker for space-stuff. Plenty of replayability as well, thanks to the changing campaign each time. Solid 9/10 game!

Its fun at times but man can it be tedious. would only recommend you to play if you want to chill and watch youtube in the meantime (mostly talking late game where battles drag on far to long without any real challenge because you have all upgrades) !!! Spoiler Tip: !!! Railguns are the best in the game.
