I really like how SOVL brings the table top to PC in a game that basically requires no hardware at all to run. The stilistic design of the game is also quite good. Additional maps (or a random map generator) would be nice though because it gets quite repetitive after a while. The combat system is classic table top where each player moves units alternately instead of turn based what makes the game quite dynamic. The combat system could be a little bit more complex though. I would suggest the following changes/additions: break tests for ranged losses (e.g. 25%+), free unit reform after combat and rally (change orientation), unit initiative (there should be an attack order and killed models should not strike back), flee option on fleeing units

A fun battle field strategy command game, with a vibe similar to the old white dwarf battle report designs. Some of the AI art is very hit or miss though so that may turn some people off, overall the game itself is enjoyable but may not be to everyone's taste
