I love this game. I play it on my steam deck. But for some reason it seams that the graphics have changed and not in a good way. When I first got the game it was smooth and looked great. But now it's rough and lags.

I really like this game. It follows your normal farming game but it's also quirky in it's own way which gives it the difference needed to keep people interested. I believe that with a little love from the developers to fix some bugs and kinda fix the edges that make it feel unfinished it could stand on it's own in the farming game community. I say this as someone who has played them all. OG HM, SoS, SDV, Coral Island and even more with Indie games included.

Even if this game installs (every single time!) in Chinese on my Steamdeck and laptop and I need my phone to translate everything on screen so I can find the proper setting to change it to english, it's still one of the most charming games I've played. I love the little mistakes in the in game conversations that are made by a translation team that don't speak english natively but are still trying very hard to do their best work.

I initially didn't want to get this game because the negative reviews, but I'm glad I did! While there are a couple of dialogue options that sometimes are not translated to English, it's very few and far between, and the translation in general seems to either have improved drastically from the time of those negative reviews, or it was just a non-issue. I really enjoy the cozy life of this sim, from farming, to chatting, to mining. There are interesting mechanics, like farmhands, that I haven't seen much in most of these types of games so it's a refreshing dynamic, especially as your farm grows. The only negative I might have, is not being able to cook in multiple amounts, but that might not be unlocked yet. Very excited to keep going!

I've played Song of The Prairie for quite awhile. The developers do listen to players and occasionally the English translation isn't 100%, but it is understandable. For me, it doesn't take away from how soothing this game is for me. The story is unique and I've never found another game with a story like it. Currently, it doesn't play a huge role in game play, but I'm hoping they'll expand on it more. Song of The Prairie has been my ultimate cozy game because I can entirely escape when I play it. I can't think of any time that I had to grind. Without a grind, you'd think the game would go by fast. It doesn't! I could keep going on how much comfort this game has given me, but I hope you'll try it yourself, and that if you had questions, I was able to answer them!
