The story and Cyberpunk setting is so immersive that it completely drew me in and with all the Interactive elements and a compelling story. It doesn't even feel like a visual novel. Great Game...

Playtime is around 6-7 hours without all achievement. Conduct investigation via collect information online, phone conversation, route navigation and deduction. Puzzle difficulty is low to medium. Choice matters. Story contains cyberpunk + philosophy + criticism. A lot of words and progress is a little bit boring without detailed explanation. It is also easy to get bored when repeating the map investigation. Recommend if you like cyberpunk / deduction / puzzle.

Awesome cyberpunk dystopian game! The soundtrack pulls you right in, making you feel like a hacker solving crimes...or helping criminals. You'll crack puzzles and piece together clues. And the ending? Mind-blowing! It gives "Orwell" vibes, but with a way better story and interactions. I bought it on sale, but 13 hours of replayable game, I'd pay full price Devs, if you read this, please make another one!

Song of Farca is a solid spying/hacking/investigating game and it's long enough to be enjoyable. A fine cast of characters, some interesting twists and a nice main character. That being said, I would like to compare it to Orwell that I just re-finished before finishing Farca (even though I guess I already played it years ago, but can't be sure that I finished it, well, not important). Orwell and Farca share the same "select highlighted hints in texts". And while I quite enjoyed it in Orwell, I found it a bit lacking here in Farca. Orwell, in its own limits, did ask you to select information among the highlighted chuncks. Farca takes it all and don't bother with useless or forgettable bits. The strength of Farca does rely in the combinations you make out of those many chuncks you get along the way and that's what make the game pretty enjoyable : finding the good combination to make your case progress. It's not advanced like a "Her Story" type of game and it's not its purpose. The game is fluid. The mini-puzzles are quite easy to solve and most of them are fun enough. The ambience is nice but I preferred how Orwell handled it. Tension moments are better than in Farca. the ambient music is ok, you can switch it if you don't like it. I'll be honest and say that sometimes I just lowered the volume because of the linearity of the music. All in all I loved the ride. But, hey, is it for you ? If you like well-built scenarios and cleverly designed games, yes it is. The gameplay is good, not revolutionary but good and it works. I would have liked some parts to be more developed (gameplay-wise and story-wise) but it's a good journey, you can't go wrong. Grab it in sales or at full price, it's worth it. Enjoy !

this game fulfills my fantasy of every hack working every time, the first time, with just one click. if you played the prologue, you'll see it again as the second case in the game. the game is basically just a hacker/PI-themed ace attorney game, if you've ever played those. you are clicking on the environment, gathering evidence, presenting said evidence during conversations, etc etc to eventually solve the case. it's a visual novel in a desktop environment style.
