Charming platformer that's equally as hard as it is cute. This is more of an experimental game that's supposed to put you in the shoes- uh... Slithering belly of a snake, heck, the executable is labelled as "Snake Simulator", I'm glad the name didn't stick. If you grew up playing Rare games in the late 90's, the music will hit you in the nostalgia like a ton of bricks as it was composed by David Wise of Donkey Kong Country fame. Also one of the very first commercial UE4 games ever made and it shows with the insane amount of grass rendering, if you play with the FPS uncapped, especially in levels with water, it will hit your GPU HARD. Forget about Crysis, can you run Snake Pass? Spoilers: It runs on a Switch, so yes, you probably can, lol. Just don't push it too hard if your hardware doesn't allow it. You don't need the reflexes of a Mario 64 speedrunner back jumping through multiple universes, but this game will absolutely test your patience, especially if you intend to grab all the collectibles in each level. I'd recommend this game if you want to try something different, pretty, cute and challenging.

An interesting non-classical platformer that takes into account the physics of snake control. The game provides an immersive experience of being in the skin of a snake. For example, even simple movement should be done in zigzags, like a snake does, only this way it will move faster. The world around us is designed specifically for snakes. The levels are designed so you need to think like a snake and use its biological structure to get through them. In the game you can control your head by pointing it in different directions, and use a separate button to move forward. You must not forget that you control the entire body of the snake and gravity will be your enemy. The difficulty of the levels increases gradually, and the game does not give direct answers on how exactly to overcome the obstacles in the levels. The player needs to find out for himself through experimentation. This is quite an interesting experience that differs from classic platformers. At levels, the main goal is to collect 3 keys to exit the level. But there are also blue bubbles and coins. After mastering the mechanics and gaining an understanding of how to control the snake, collecting all the collectables that were in difficult places gives a pleasant feeling. Even after a short time, you can say that it’s nice to feel how gracefully and quickly you go through the levels, twisting around the pillars, passing various obstacles. The game also has nice music and atmosphere Among the disadvantages of the game, I can only note that in rare cases the camera could behave inappropriately when the snake was in narrow spaces. Not recommend this game to people who don't like challenges. It can be frustrating for these people

Challenging, fun, and rewarding. The snake is fun to play, but I've never quite grasped the controls which leads to some repetitive frustrating moments. The game levels and characters are vibrant and charming and levels are fun to explore. It it feels extremely rewarding when you overcome a difficult platforming challenge. I could see myself replaying this again.
