Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a boss battler action-RPG. Face eight abhorrent bosses, the first seven each based on one of the deadly sins. Before each epic clash, you must sacrifice a stat and level down to enter combat. Each fight will be tougher than the last as you wage war against sin itself.

It's ok. I'd only ever get it on sale, it's worth under $5 but anything more would be a waste. The game is a boss rush, and most the boss fights are somewhat challenging. Controls fine, although if you want a power fantasy of getting stronger as you go on, this game does the opposite so beware of that. Props to the dev for some interesting boss fights, if the bosses of this game can be put into a full fledged souls-RPG, then you'd have a real winner.

It feels like a short version of the Dark Souls series. However, its original systems and fresh experiences make it an enjoyable game that transcends being merely labeled a mini Dark Souls.

FIRST PLAYTHROUGH (108 MINS): copped this souls boss rusher on sale for under $4 and i must say i was not expecting to enjoy it as much as i did. it's sad to see the mixed reviews. i liked the mystery part, the lore, the boss designs, the gameplay was not that bad as people are saying...i had no issues with it. i liked chanel the most, it felt the most smooth and was the most challenging boss i'd say. if you've played souls games, you can take this game down pretty quickly. what i find interesting is that there is 3 different endings you can get, which makes the replayability a good factor since the game is pretty short. at full price, i'd say it's still worth it if you plan on doing more then one run, but if you're only looking to do 1, i'd say cop it on a sale. good game though and the devs definitely had a good idea with this. hoping to see something similar in the future!!!

This is a review after doing every Achievement: Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is a Soulslike like many others. This in particular focuses on a Boss rush style of gameplay. You beat a boss, you either forgive him or you kill him. Every boss has a unique characteristic that's a clue for beating it. You have arenas like an iceberg, a volcanic mountain, a colosseum, etc. Very unique places with a simplistic, but interesting art style. The OST is good and fitting for every combat. It has few cinematics which tell the story of every boss in an ambiguous and mysterious way. In the technical part, I'm not to sure if it's my pc or the game has some problems, but it kept having stuttering the first time I fought a boss. It was quite annoying but because it was just the first time in each battle, it was passable. Now the important part: "The Achievement Tour" Almost 40/60 achievements can be obtained by just completing the game normally, which is good because some are really fun when you unlock them by accident. Some others are really bugged, like Hex Proof & Purified , but it's almost a problem with 1 boss only. I would advise finishing the game first, which could take you probably 4-5hs, and then completing the achievements that you have left. A good form of doing some achievements is in the Challenge option in which, once you finish the story, you can beat any of the bosses with all original stats( This doesn't work with the bugged achievements ) I'm thinking on doing a guide for every achievement since there's not a good one yet and it's been years. That might be it, it was fun getting all achievements. Good luck to you, fellow Achievement Hunters. Cheers.
