Good one. Very good one. Almost as good as Civ V. Unfortunately, like every Civ game, the game becomes boring from middle game: the first hours are critical, the following ones are meaningless: the strong become stronger, the weak die little by little, and there is no more magic on discovering lands or technologies.

My review of the game was going to be "Good game, buy it" or "I can't stop playing, please send help" or something cheesy like that. All of that is still true, but I recently had to move away from my gaming computer to a more compact, lightweight laptop without a GPU. Somehow the developers of this game have optimized the graphics, and provided enough options to select UI and graphical settings, that I don't see the massive slowdowns or bad textures that I expected. My worst fear was having to play the game without animations or having extremely long turn times, but I never actually encountered anything like that. In fact, the only bad thing about the game is that they removed my favorite feature from Civ 5: Being able to use my gaming laptop as a room-heater in the winter in my dorm. I've spent about a thousand hours on this game according to Steam, but I think that number should actually be much higher! I'd say every second of that was worth it, but I need to figure out how to stop playing this game and go to bed before the birds start chirping and the sun starts to rise. Buy it when it's on discount, though, because the full price of this game with all its DLCs will financially destroy you.

Great game, 1000 hours well spent. Anyways, use this to bypass the 2k launcher upon startup. In the launch options set a path direct to the .exe file. The default pathing plus command should look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI.exe" %command% Replace the path between commas to wherever your CivilizationVI.exe is located.
