If Civilization 5 isn't launching after the recent update where they removed the 2k launcher do the following. 1. Go to your steam library 2. Right click on the game 3. Click on properties 4. Click on installed files 5. At the top right of the window you will see the location of installed files, click on the browse 6. In the directory right click on either executable you wish to run. CivilizationV.exe or CivilizationV_DX11.exe 7. Click on properties 8. Click on compatibility 9. Enable compatibility mode with windows 8 or 7 mode 10. Click apply 11. Run the game through the selected executable in the folder not the play button through steam. 12. Enjoy It has been reported that this additional function might help with making the game run with some individuals. In the compatibility screen with step 8, enable run as administrator. This should also help with getting the game to run.

Despite the AI being schizophrenic, this is still one of the best TBS games out there. Every civ is unique and there are many victory types, so you can adapt your strategies to best fit the civs or choose the civs that best fit your strategies. Very addictive and rewarding. Particularly, I think that not being able to stack your units in a large army is the major problem because as the game progresses, the amount of stuff (units mostly) you have to manage becomes overwhelming, especially if you're playing as a militaristic civ. Not being able to rebind the keys inside the game is also annoying. Overall, very fun to play both solo or with friends. 8/10

Civ 5 to me still is far better then CIv 6... I have played over 3200 hours of Civ 5 versus around 400 hours of Civ 6, and I find the AI in Civ 6 incredibly irritating as it goes out of its way to setup its own cites as close to you as possible. I have had many games where the AI is on a completely different continent having a lot of room to expand on their own lands, but invariably decides to cross the seas to setup shop on your continent. As well as the endless missionaries invading your land like they have nothing better to do then keep building missionary units to convert your people...

Civilization V is hands down my favorite in the series. There's just something about watching your civilization grow from a small village into a global powerhouse that never gets old. The art style is the best out of all the Civ games, making every map and city look beautiful. The gameplay strikes the perfect balance between depth and fun, and the combat and strategy keep you hooked. Whether you're a newbie or a Civ veteran, this one is a must-play—you'll find yourself saying 'just one more turn' way too often!

Amazing game, Don't play before going to bed, nothing bad to say about this masterpiece. All the negative reviews are from cry baby mongoloids whining about being overstimulated by the Civ 6 ads in the launcher like little toddlers. It doesn't affect game play whatsoever, they just need to grow up.
