Do you press the button to nuke everything off the ship but take on a little water, or get chain stunned and swarmed by twenty little toads and projectiles and then your duo chains stuns you with a paddle because they "were putting out the fire I swear" and then you get chain stunned again by the homing octopus and the ship is sinking but at least you can go down by your own terms singing so loudly even the ship wants to kill itself. DLC required otherwise you can't grief your ship. 100% definitely "pay to win" otherwise game too hard. /s 10/10 would recommend, friend needed

I've never played a Roguelike or Roguelite before, and had low expectations when I bought the game, and was mostly interested in playing a new co-op game. The game starts off brutal, with a very steep learning curve, but once you get a hold of the basics it's great fun, especially with a friend. I am blown away by how much I enjoy the game, and although I never expect to play it as much as I do, the different lighthouse levels, new items and the different lighthouse challenges you need to complete with the ship add to a lot of replayability, and I cannot reccomend the game enough. Actual contender for one of the best games I've played this year. If you're able, get it on sale though; as I find the price of the game quite steep, but for ~$10 it was well worth the price.

The Good Things: - Really cute, good art - Roguelike with insane items, many builds - Couch co-op - DLCs aren't game-breaking or required - Lots of skill expression The Bad Things - YOU CANT SAVE. I've had to say goodbye to so many good runs. - This game is known to crash because of certain items, bugs, or interactions. - You can unlock characters during runs. Switching to them will disable all items you have. Game ending bug. Not fixed yet. - Animations like end screen cannot be skipped or sped up at all. EDIT as of 5/21/24, theres been an update for this.

This is an absolutely excellent game, particularly for the price. My fiancee and I started playing after getting it on sale and it was worth every penny. Its very well balances for two players and is simple enough that even she, who doesn't play a lot of video games, was having a great time. I legitimately think this game helped her really start getting into video games more.
