Really enjoyed this game! Decent difficulty, not as hard as say cuphead, Celeste, super meatboy etc. But a decent difficulty to keep you trying without loading your crap lol. Recommend especially when on sale

Shio is a true platformer that is challenging, beautiful and simple. If you can get it on sale ($6.78AUD) you'll get an incredible game and experience if you're a fan of the genre but you wont be ripped off if you get it at full price. It has an incredible art style, animations & level layout that offer challenge and serenity.

actually i don't really want to recommend this game but its still worth a buy in sales the things i want to clarify about this game, as a 2d platformer game, the difficulty is balanced and not even hard at all, i don't know why most of the dislike review said its too hard, since this game is easier than most of the hard 2d platformer in steam the game have 2 difficulty, easy and hard mode, i never tried easy mode, but already completed all the total time achievements in hard mode, so i think this game is friendly enough as a 2d platformer overall the level design is ok, not so fun and not so bad the things i want to tell to people who want to buy this game: this game can't rebind keys to most of the "function keys" (arrows and shift etc..) this game can't control the heights of your jumps

Shio is a difficult and innovative 2D platformer that will satisfy platformer fans who enjoy a more challenging experience. Though the story and music of the game didn't stand out at all, the level design, game mechanics, and overall flow of the game really carries Shio. I've player Shio for something over an hour now and i must say Good Job Coconut Island Studio. This game really is fun and hard, so if you want a challenging platformer, go ahead and buy it. It's really hard, but not frustrating. The learning curve in this game is abnormally high, so be prepared for that. If you already played for example Super Meat Boy, you will be in good hands with this game. Pros: - Beautiful Music - Smooth Artstyle - Good Cotrolls Cons: - Sometimes the physics are a bit wonky, but you'll get used to it in no time. - The drastic differents between some of the sections. You easily manage to get through one part but seconds later it's abnormally difficult. Overall, I recommend this game to people who want a really good and challenging platformer. It's great fun and I'm sure, you'll find all the secret areas :)
