Install the free Chronicle DLC pack before playing since it doesn't come bundled with the game and without it, you miss out on a very, very large amount of content and the TDE ending. Not sure why it wasn't included in the remaster properly like the console versions, but other than that fun game :) (also the game is locked to 30FPS and 1080p but there's mods that can fix that)

This port was a bit of a disorder, it's still capped at 30fps, cutscenes are 4:3 resolution and the audio tracks are still compressed, it's also an obvious thing that SMT III is a masterpiece itself for the majority of people who played it thoroughly, but nowadays, these issues with the port can make more than one person uncomfortable playing it (that includes me, of course). So I highly recommend searching for the Nocturne Graphics Configurator made by "bud." in GameBanana, I personally saw his own advancement in this mod through the time and tested it myself in its final version. The result? A really smooth and enojayble gameplay, tho I suggest capping it maximum at 120fps, my monitor has a refresh rate of 360Hz and I tried capping it at 360fps but the game gets kinda messy, so I lowered it to 120fps and got a flawless gameplay Along with that, you can install a lot of useful QoL mods just as I did, it makes the game even more enjoyable than it already is

I threw a dark rock that has the chance of instakilling an enemy. Beelzhebub threw it right back at me, killing me and wiping hours of progress. 10/10 never hurt so good.

Encountered four demons and mid fight a fifth shows up randomly. He engages me in conversation and tells me about how to use a map before aggressively threatening me in Shakespearean english. He detonates himself killing the other four demons and himself. This is a regular occurrence. 10/10

10\10 jesus I can't believe I'm actually finished it. Crazy surreal jrpg you won't find anywhere anymore, that's why 10\10. Unfortunetly this game is really outdated. And no, I'm not another one Persona fan since I never played any Persona games. Actually I'm even worse because I'm from SMT: Imagine =D I disagree with "this is the dark souls of jrpg", cuz you simply have lack of information to play normally, like who tf can guess that luck stat do nothing for crit? Why there is no skill tree? Why magic got weird level dividing so magic builds mostly suck? Why should I cast estoma every 5 mins if I want to do some backtracking? etc This game could shine with a proper remake, but ig we'll never see it. p.s. I'm not a big fan of Meguro, so I'm glad that he switched SMT series to Pesona, since EVERY other composer including first SMT composers are better imo. I don't think he's bad, I just like others way more.
