Great twist on one-up, one-down solitaire making it considerably more challenging than the typical games of this genre. Also a well-done storyline and details. The layouts seem more challenging than many card games, even though only about 25% are turn-based battles. It's the duels with the opponents which made this game really interesting for me, as there's a lot of strategizing involved with picking out your weapons, clothing, gear, and card playing abilities to best arm yourself against each different character you meet. The last few chapters of the 22 chapters total are grindy if you want to 3 star everything. If you like the concept of this game but battles aren't for you, there's a purely casual version of this game available.

Some time ago, I became utterly obsessed with Regency Solitaire. This summer, I'm obsessed with Shadowhand. This game kicks SO MUCH ASS. The gameplay is just as addictive and rewarding, and it really forces you to strategize in order to earn a 3 star rating!! The combo of solitaire and card battler gameplay rocks so hard. The art is also gorgeous, and the story is pretty fun and engaging as well. TIP: If you find yourself hitting a wall, GO CHANGE YOUR GEAR/ITEMS. Strategizing & synergizing your items & powerups with your weapons will get you through literally any level with full stars. The difficulty balancing in this game is seriously so good aagh I'm obsessed. So rewarding!! So consistently fun!!!! Grey Alien Games!! You are so good at what you do!!! I hope to keep discovering and playing more of your games for years to come!!!!!!!!!!

Very solid solitaire combat mash up. Much better than the later released Ancient Enemy for some strange reason. Worth tinkering around with on sale.

Really good combination of RPG mechanics the and solitaire card game. Of course, being a card game it is extremely reliant on rng. If you're not fine with that, you definitely don't want to play this. But for the rest of the people it's an easy recommendation especially at -75% price.
