Boarderlands at home Fun lootshooter with great melee options as well, becomes repetitive quite quick tho but will probably still entertain you for like 20 hours at least Story is garbage which is a shame since I liked the plot of 1

Very good game. Buildcrafting, farming, online coop, infinite replays, enough weapons (circa 70), ego one liners and fluid combat makes this a perfect mess. Hogs really went all out with this entry and it's still their peak today. Roadhog engine is pushed to it's limit, with it's unrivaled dynamic destructible environments. With addition of semi open world with procedural weather and maps can lead to interesting combinations. This can also bring some visual bugs, like trees clipping into objects, holes in world and such. Hogs should either tweak that or remove world procedurality alltogether and keep only the weather aspect. Unfortunately Hogs abandoned their engine in favor of janky Unreal, and with their recent titles you can easily tell, that the magic their games once possessed was snuffed out in favor of generosity, so I don't think we ever see games like Shadow Warrior 1/2 again. Unfortunate. What I really don't like are menus, they are just wrong. Mainly managing relics is a nightmare. Upgrade system is very cluttered and unintuitive, everything is all over the place and hard to manage. Another is a balance, for example the difficulty spike between insanity 3 to 4 is immense. Story is very forgettable and confusing with non existing world building, also it's very short. Hogs were never good at story telling, what they were good is design and gameplay and it's also the best aspect of the game.

Shadow Warrior 2 want´s to be so much like Borderlands. I played it back then in Game Pass for like 50 hours. It does it job pretty good, pretending to be Borderlands. So... if you played every Borderlands for hundreds of hours... give Shadow Warrior 2 a chance. It is really fun. Combat is bloody and gory and fast. Plus, you can play it in coop. 9/10

94 / 100 - My 141st game since 2020 This is one of the most fun games I have played in a long time. And it is such a huge massive upgrade from the previous game. When most games are hell bent on torturing the players with restrictions and constrictions, this game just gives and gives and then gives some more. Here is what I can count - No stamina meter, you can keep running to your hearts content - No dash limits, keep dashing until your fingers hurt - No weight management - No health penalty for falling from high places - No need to search for health packets, just run to a corner and press Q to regain health - No load time in case you into an abyss, instant restart - Target directions on the maps. No need to waste time searching WIth this set, next comes the guns, the elemental powerups and the chaos on the screen. The game throws at you countless enemies, but it was such a pleasure clearing the section again and again. I played every single side mission and every single bounty mission. Then on top of all this ... - The game run like butter - Graphics are unbelievably smooth, like magic - Guns are pleasure to shoot - Elementals can be overbearing but works works nicely in the end - Level designs are really fun with weather effects, open ended designs It is a pity the game ended. I would have bought all the DLCs and played it endlessly. Sigh, why dont we get such games anymore :-(
