Shadow Corridor 2024 review Ignore the fact I refunded this, I will mention this later. If you want to try this game for free, you can find "Kagerou Shadow Corridor" on a Japanese site, basically a demo version of this game :) This is an INTERESTING traditional Japanese horror game set in what seems to be an abandoned temple or shrine building of some sort. You will go looking for these white rocks (whose name escapes me) to assist you in moving onto the next stage. The enemies are quite unique I'll say, and this game has a lot of jumpscares and a very eerie atmosphere created largely by the low-frequency hum that you hear throughout. I'll be honest, this is one person dev's game, and in that respect they have worked very hard and this is good for 1 developer's work. However as a horror game it does have shortfalls and for me it felt repetitive to the point I've purchased it twice and refunded both those times. You also die with what seems to be a basic death screen... and the textures are repetitive. HOWEVER, the endless, unique and regenerated halls as well as the sounds are sure to drive you insane, take that how you like. This is just my opinion though. You could love this game, like a lot of others do, it's just not for me. I see the potential 100%, which is why I recommended this, but ensure you try the demo (I can try to link if requested in comments) if you are unsure :). ---{ Graphics }--- ☐ You forget what reality is ☐ Beautiful ☐ Good β˜‘ Decent ☐ Bad ☐ Donβ€˜t look too long at it ☐ MS-DOS ---{ Gameplay }--- ☐ Very good ☐ Good β˜‘ It's just gameplay (half explorer-y, half eerie corridor simulator) ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☐ Very good ☐ Good β˜‘ Not too bad (it will haunt you) ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf ---{ Audience }--- ☐ Kids (will cause nightmares probably) β˜‘ Teens β˜‘ Adults ☐ Grandma ---{ PC Requirements }--- ☐ Check if you can run paint β˜‘ Potato ☐ Decent ☐ Fast ☐ Rich boi ☐ Ask NASA if they have a spare computer ---{ Difficulty }--- ☐ Just press 'W' β˜‘ Easy ☐ Easy to learn / Hard to master ☐ Significant brain usage ☐ Difficult ☐ Dark Souls ---{ Grind }--- ☐ Nothing to grind ☐ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks β˜‘ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ You'll need a second life for grinding ---{ Story }--- ☐ No Story β˜‘ Some lore ☐ Average ☐ Good ☐ Lovely ☐ It'll replace your life ---{ Game Time }--- ☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee ☐ Short β˜‘ Average ☐ Long β˜‘ To infinity and beyond (if grind) ---{ Price }--- ☐ It's free! ☐ Worth the price β˜‘ If it's on sale β˜‘ If u have some spare money left ☐ Not recommended ☐ You could also just burn your money ---{ Bugs }--- ☐ Never heard of ☐ Minor bugs β˜‘ Can get annoying ☐ ARK: Survival Evolved ☐ The game itself is a big terrarium for bugs ---{ ? / 10 }--- ☐ 1 ☐ 2 ☐ 3 β˜‘ 4 ☐ 5 ☐ 6 ☐ 7 ☐ 8 ☐ 9 ☐ 10
