After playing demo long time ago and beating [url=https://steamcommunity.com/id/kranteaux/recommended/1836730/]Echo Point Nova , I decided to give it a shot, and I certainly did not regret in the slightest. The movement may seem tamer in comparison, but it is still fluid, strong and over the top, especially considering more linear level structure. Air control, dive, slide, and even kick are providing mind-blowing momentum. It may not be that hard overall, but the encounters can still provide enough challenge, which was a bit lacking in the next Greylock Studio's game (kudos to heavy soldiers with flamethrowers for that). Despite being short, it has impressive list of additional game modes, mutators and weapon customization to mess around with. While Severed Steel is all about gameplay, some elements of environmental storytelling were a pleasure to see. It is also amusing, that all of campaign levels are connected into a simple narrative without giving too much exposition. Some of the missions in [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=286&v=P0O07LuxymE&feature=youtu.be]last [url=https://youtu.be/3SxdnDyziOQ]chapters made me raising hands like Scorsese while saying "Absolute cinema". Superhot influence is noticeable here, and I mean it as compliment. Last but not least, Floating Door's music here is also nothing but [url=https://youtu.be/EfAutPl8QF0]bangers . It is that movement shooter kids are craving for. It is one of those "shorter games with worse graphics" some people are expecting to see. Severed Steel is also dirt cheap on sales. I do not see any reason not to buy it, if you are into some nice fast paced FPS games.

The first "proper" stage took me quite a bit to clear, but then I understood the mechanics, stopped being stingy with the bullet-time and the game became an absolute blast from beginning to end, with only a few annoying stages. Would recommend.

I've been playing videogames since Pong hit arcades in my country in 1977. I've played them all. Severed Steel is simply one of the greatest, most fun games I've played in the history of gaming. Simple as. The Devs should be millionaires. Please buy this game. Imagine you're Neo in the matrix, but apart from the gunplay you can also traverse like in Mirror's Edge. And the visuals are like Tron mixed with Superhot. With an awesome soundtrack. WHy are you still reading this...PLAY PLAY PLAY!

It's Mirror's Edge with fully destructible levels married with Superhot level structure and goals. It's great fun for 20-30 min per day. Don't play too much in one sitting, it will get stale.

Here is what the game should plaster on every piece of advertising because it would make me buy in instantly: enemies can't hit you as long as you are doing stunts! Wall runs, dives, and slides all turn you into an invincible killing machine. You regain health and slow mo power with kills. In this game you don't die because you pushed too far, you die because you stopped. It's all about going forward-forward-forward! Have I mentioned that everything is made of fucking voxels and you can just blast through walls with a handcannon to get to more enemies? The solution to a fight is almost never to hide or retreat. I love this! The guns feel fun and satisfying and there are definitely some standouts you will be excited every time you get. The campaign is short and the enemy variety isn't huge, but there are plenty of levels past the campaign and other things that help spice up the gameplay. The story isn't the focus here. If you want an FPS that rewards you for keeping your foot on the gas 100% of the time, this is it.
